Food quality has deteriorated recently

Price of a pint, room was cold had to get a heatwr from the car, no onsite breakfast had to drive a mile

Good location with nice walks in the area. Very handy having a pub downstairs.

The room was very dated and felt grubby. The bathroom didn’t feel clean at all. The bed was spongy. It was very over priced for what we got. We paid the same price for a room in Pooley Bridge the day after and the rooms were worlds apart.

Room decent size with lovely view over river. Comfortable bed. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good.

The decor was nice and pretty location next to the river

Website said food served til 9pm but got a call on the day to say last orders 8pm which put my travel under pressure, I ordered food, they said it would be a wait which is fine but my main came out whilst I was still eating my starter, the order was wrong anyway, when it came back out my burger was cold and pink in the middle so it went back again and came out wrong a 3rd time so I was partially refunded, I was too tired at that point after a six hour drive so went to bed. My room was subjected to alot of noise, banging and crashing from above

Very good breakfast that was included in the price.

The rooms were tired and in need of updating and a deep clean. In one room the shower was tiny and had mould and the other room had a bath with a big chip in it and mould

We had a lovely stay, the food was excellent. Excellent breakfast, only down side was 3 of us waited 45 mins for our breakfast and we were meeting a guide and it made us abit late although we ordered in plenty of time. But overall a lovely stay in comfy beds and clean rooms.

Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Dinners were also of a high standard.

Staff could be a bit abrupt at times.
