Haad Yao Bay View Resort and Spa

I was robbed and chased with a sword and then a knife and the resort staff refused to call the police. Be very cautious this man drinks uses drugs and offers free booze to travellers. He has weapons he is on the only trail that leads to the resort. Please be aware and i strongly urge travellers who stay here to go to the police of they have any incidents this man is very dangerous and unpredictable. The resort had good food though and rooms were clean.

Ole is one of the nicest person on the island she will take care at any if ur problems The rooms are minimal and great, view is outstanding and the staff are very nice I had a great vacation here and will be sure to come back

Haad Yao beach has become one of the best walking/swimming/nightlife beaches on the island, and Bayview sits right at its North end. You get a beach resort experience -- pool, restaurant, convenience store, and frequent room cleaning -- all for a guesthouse price. I have stayed at Bayview many times, and I always return. The views from some of the rooms are magnificent! Prices fluctuate quite a bit by demand (e.g. higher during Fullmoon parties) but if you keep this in mind, it is possible to work with staff to secure good deals.

Once upon a time there was this lovely resort… When you arrive at the resort from a certain safe distance you think this is so lovely. But then after speaking to the lovely lady (not!!) behind the reception reality kicks in. This lady is extremely grumpy. There was no excuse whatsoever from there side. Apparently we were overbooked she said. At first she was telling us there was something wrong with my creditcard and that they couldn’t charge my creditcard. Which is weird because everything is working fine. This was an absolute lie. The only option they gave us was sleeping in a dorm or one of there guests houses because all the other options were fully booked. We had a terrible night sleep at this place. It was extremely moldy, and electricity was not working properly. The next day we could finally check in at the resort and go to our superior bungalow with sea view. We definitely had sea view, no doubt about that. But the superior part was missing completely. Also it was not even a bungalow. We had no privacy at all. I can go in to extreme bad details about the room and the resort, but just believe me if I say this. It’s way overpriced for what you get. It’s not maintained at all for many years. From the bottom of my heart, please don’t spend your money here, you will certainly regret it! This place has two options, either they shut it down and completely renovate the resort, or they have to lower the prices drastically. And the staff needs to be replaced, or work wise they somehow need to find joy again.

We went for an evening meal and was ignored by the staff for ove 30 minutes. The waitress latterly trew 2 menus on our table there was 3 of us and walked away. We waited and waited while the 3 waiting staff chatted and the guy behind the bar smoked cigarettes. We got up and left I spoke to the waitress and explained why we were leaving she responded with Ya and walked away. Sorry to say we will not be back.

Amazing views and great value for money. We have been to Haad Yao beach many times. Bay view offers the best rooms and best value for money. The rooms are extremely clean and are a great size. Perfect for what we needed. We were only due to stay for one weeks but ended up staying for two and a half weeks.

Great location on the beach. Good range of breakfast menu options and helpful staff in the restaurant. We organised our onward trip to Koh Tao with reception and this turned out well. Overall, our famiily of 4 had a great stay.

Had a great stay, great value for money. And staff really nice to be around.
