Hotel La Cartuja

During this trip we stayed in a number of hotels. This was the cleanest quietest and most comfortable hotel. Also the manager Patricia, was very accommodating and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Breakfast was great. Good location. Staff were very nice.

Situated right in the heart of Quito, “La Catuja” hotel, is spotlessly clean. There is a lovely sitting room and a private garden where you can enjoy some quiet time after a busy day. It is always the people that make a place special and the hospitality shown to every guest is why I have given this hotel five stars.

A wonderful and quaint hotel. Small, cozy, and clean. The staff were very helpful and kind. They happily stored luggage and provided great restaurant and sight seeing suggestions I highly recommend it!

The hotel is very clean and near the new Metro which is super easy to use and only cost 45 cents (US). The staff is very helpful, especially Patricio who is the heart of the hotel. He is friendly and knows your name very quickly. The breakfast is excellent with eggs, toast, jam, yogurt, coffee, tea, fruit, and lovely juices. The rooms are of adequate size and most are twin beds some have a double and a single to fit a family of three. My only not pro comment would be that the hotel is a little dated but the location close to restaurants, banks, and shopping makes up for that negative point. There is security 24/7 on the property and only authorized persons are admitted. I would recommend this hotel if you are in Quito,

The check-in and out time at the hotel was not consistent with what Hotels.com wrote. So in the end I had the room for 2hours less than I thought. The cleaning was good, but the perfume used was so strong that I had to air out the entire room. Otherwise really good service! Helpful staff, the breakfast was okay, and I felt safe during my stay.

Good place to stay in Quito, comfortable rooms with very friendly helpful staff.
