Hotel La Cartuja

We really enjoyed our stay at this small, family run hotel. Monica, Maria, Patricia and Carla always made us feel welcome and were very friendly. The rooms are big enough, beds comfy and bathrooms clean and functional. Breakfast was good and coffee strong. Convenient location for all activities. Highly recommended

The rooms aren't heated, so it was cooler than one would like. Bed was nice and warm, however, and blankets were provided. Something to keep in mind.

Good location in a quiet street but only a short walk to restaurants, souvenir market, national museum & large park. I cannot thank the staff here enough with assisting me with my application for an e-visa to Brazil. They even brought in a travel agent to assist me on two occasions. My room was a decent size & comfortable. The bathroom had good hot water & pressure. Breakfast was adequate. Overall, I had a comfortable (long) stay.

I stayed in this hotel as a part of my intrepid trip to the Galapagos and back. The hotel staff were kind, welcoming, went out of their way to help us with ordering taxis, local tours, doing our washing, and making an effort to have conversations with us and even teach me some Spanish at breakfast which were lovely. I felt very safe here, very welcomed, and appreciated all of the advice and tips that everybody gave me

Best hotel we stayed at in STH America. The staff are first class and go over and beyond to make your stay the best. Thanks for everything, you made our time in Quito great. Your help was very much appreciated from eating places suggestions, help with tour suggestions and booking taxis. Breakfast was also the best.
