Elaf Ajyad Hotel

this hotel is located on height.. although they provide shuttle to avoid ramp. small toilets in room and breakfast was ok. basic english is understood by the staff. room service was ok. try to bring extention wire as they dont have much eletric sockets. by no mean this hotel is 4 stars. should be 2.5 or 3 stars.

Not convenient for older people. Sits on a hill. There are wall plugs available other than one under the table, which is very inconvenient to charge your phone. Shower space available may be 2'x 2' or less.

Hotel staff was very nice. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. When booking I saw lot of reviews of this hotel being on the cliff and inconvenient, but they have 24/7 transportation available and once off the cliff Haram is just very near by so no issues faced. For the price we paid, this was very good.

MINUS: There was no wifi in the rooms. In the lobby the wifi was weak. If there are 5 people in the lobby using the same wifi then you wont get connected. The staff is impolite, can't speak English and smoke in front of customers. Some cleaners misbehave. My room's bathroom tray was cracked, luggage table next to dresser was chipped off. Bigger rooms but smaller batrooms and shower trays are less than a foot away from toilet commodes. PLUS: Very reasonable breakfast on the house. Excellent to/from Haram shuttle service and the shuttle drivers are excellent people and dont make faces. I noticed the service available after fajar Azan through mid-night after every 5 minutes. If you have missed the shuttle, wait, another one will be there within minutes. The shuttle services provided from call of fajar prayers until after midnight. Only shuttle service staff and ground floor staff are excellent. English speaking staff and cleaners should be taught to behave with customers and not to raise their voices.

The serif front desk staff was inappropriate couldn't speak English unable to serve international guests reluctant to serve non Arabic speaking guests. When non Arabic speaking guest arrived at the counter they start play with mobile and walked away. These are young Arabian service staff. I will not recommend this hotel to non Arabic speaking guests. The transport between hotel and Haram inadequate. Room are uncleanliness smells of smokes, toilet flush doesn't work approximately call the room maintenance came in 1st call but never showed up again. This is not value for money.

Good location , needs innovation , Excellent value for money

Unfortunately, this was among the worst experiences I have had at a hotel. Apart from the property location, which apart from the Hill climb was very convenient; the service, cleanliness, the staff and the rooms were among the worst. The housekeeping staff asked us not to call them, and asked my wife to not call to have the room cleaned. The restaurant staff was just as rude. Just for this service, would not recommend this again.

Very bad experiences. Staff was not cooperative.
