Comfort Suites New Bern near Cherry Point

Staff was very engaging and friendly with a smile.

I want to give praise to a lady working at the service desk- her name was Linda and this woman did absolutely everything in her power to make my wife's weekend perfect. I admit, I forgot it was my wife's birthday until almost too late but Linda helped me organize and put tgthr a small birthday celebration to surprise my wife... And keep me out of the dog house. She did everything from ordering the cake to helping decorate an area and even helped me with gift ideas and getting things delivered to the hotel on time. It was perfect! I want to thank her for all her never ending help and for the smile I saw on my wife's face, I could not have pulled it off without this kind woman's help. We walk away with smiles and some great memories. Thankyou Linda and Comfort Suites, we will DEF BE BACK

NO HOT WATER... was barely warm enough to take a quick shower. The water in the sink seemed hotter for some strange reason. Knowone at the front desk, each time I had to ring a bell for assistance

Restrooms downstairs were clogged and didn't work.

I’d like the condition of the room, it was clean and very well taken care of. The hotel in my opinion is an old rundown mess. There was leaky ceiling spots above the pool with plaster coming off the ceiling and the pool heater was broken. The water was ice cold. I was there for the bike ride in new Bern and I’m glad for the convenient location, but I just think the condition of the hotel There was also a blue flashing light outside my window, when I brought it up to the desk personnel, she said she knew about it, but didn’t know what was wrong with it. So no one was doing anything to fix it.

Room rate was reasonable. Front desk staff were nice.

Facilities were bad. Lots of construction in and around the hotel. The bathroom in our room was horrible. The bathroom door had to be fixed in order for it to open and close properly. The floor strip between the floor tile on our bathroom floor and the wood laminate flooring in the room kept separating. The shower water never got hot. We saw that our room was left unsecured when we returned as the door was propped open. The maintenance person said he got sidetracked and forgot to return and lock it. Breakfast options were below par. Lots of construction going on. This was my worst choice of hotels to stay at in a very long time.
