Kalestesia Suites

Choose this hotel if you want a get away from the busy cities of Oia and Fira. These cities are a short distance by cab or drive so easy to access. Our hotel is a short walk from a little village with a few great restaurants and about a 30 minute walk from the famous red beach. In the morning when I awoke, I could hear on the birds chirping and breeze blowing. Hotel grounds are great and the view from my room was a perfect 10.

Very enjoyable stay, the staff were very accommodating and couldn't do enough for you. The resort is very clean and relaxing with spectacular views over the bay and volcano!

Amazing service, really enjoyed our stay. Location is a bit remote, but this make it extremely quiet and it is not an issue if you have a car to move around. Swimming pool and hotel facilities are amazing. 5 star to Hotel staff for make it such a great stay.

Everything about Kalestesia Suites is exceptional. We travelled as a small family of two adults and one 7yr old, and on first arrival, we were struck by the location of the hotel at the top of Akrotiri, with views both across the caldera and over the south of the island (we arrived at night time, and the views in the morning in daylight were even more stunning). However, the one thing I really want to stress is how good the service and attention from the hotel staff was. We arrived at around 11pm due to a delay to our flight, and were welcomed with a carafe of local Greek wine, sandwiches and fruit. Right throughout the holiday, Samson and his staff were available to help with any questions, but also gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time at the hotel. Our return flight was also later on in the evening, but we were free to use the pool and gym changing facilities after we had checked out - the charges for our final lunch and drinks were also waived which was totally unexpected. It was these kinds of small touches that mean we would recommend Kalestesia to anybody. There are many other positives that you would want to experience for yourself: The hotel was kept spotlessly clean at all times; breakfasts were great with changes to the items being served each day; the rooms were serviced every day; the buildings were all obviously well maintained and cared for.

Amazingly personal experience in a lovely secluded part of the island. On first named terms with the owner Samson. - the best sunset views from our balcony. Cannot flaw anything about the stay. I hate to raise the profile of a place we loved so much, but we will definitely be back.

We had the best time staying at Kalestesia Suites. It's in a quiet part of the island and away from the crowds and feels like a real getaway. Sampson and his team anticipated everything we needed and really made our stay feel effortless. The chef at the restaurant was fabulous and we had some of the best food at the hotel during our stay in Santorini. A car is a definite must as the hotel is not within walking distance to the village or any other amenities.

I never write reviews. Am motivated to write because of the charm, warmth of this resort. Breakfasts delivered to balcony are heavenly. Staff will go to any lengths to make vacation outstanding. Very laid back. Arranged for us to get car then atvs then sea kayaking. Long way from Fira but only 20 minutes via car Great get away.

Great experience from beginning to end. Samson was extremely helpful in getting us an ATV rental, reserving seats for us on a Catamaran cruise and explaining the top sites to see on the Island. We arrived late and he went out of his way to leave some nice sandwiches and champagne for use. Lefty who works as a server for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very accommodating, polite and fun to talk with. The view alone makes this place worth staying at. Combine that with the pool, spa and gym facilities and it's location on the quiet, authentic southern side of the island and you're set to enjoy the real Santorini. If I could change one thing, I would stay in one of the upper floors with a private balcony to enjoy the view that much more.

Exquisite property in a delightfully remote location. Need to drive through a very narrow passage, which you are certain at first is the wrong way. Totally worth the quirky drive. Samson who manages the property is always available to help with directions, recommendations, loaning an adapter, whatever you need. Breakfast is served in your room so you can enjoy the views from your balcony. We decided to eat in the dining room where they bring you whatever you want. Breakfast was delicious with yogurt, fresh honey, homemade jams, a basket of fresh bread and buns, eggs ham or meats if you eat that. One day they also brought us chocolate crepes. The room was lovely and had a kitchenette w fridge and sink. The only negative was the sheets which were super starched and not soft. The pool overlooks the sea and mountains and there is a private jacuzzi and Hamam /steam room you can reserve. I would definitely return!

I would highly recommend this place and would not stay anywhere else in Santorini anymore. Photos on hotels.com of the place are accurate. Mother daughter trip -- my mom and I had the most fantastic stay in a 1 br villa. The villa was well maintained and located on the highest point of Acrotiri, which means you get a unparalleled view of the island. While the location is fairly isolated, there shouldn't be any problem if you have a car. We were able to visit Oia and Fira, a few small towns, and lounged around the hotel all within two days. Delicious breakfast that included greek yogurt, fruit, fresh squeezed oj and some pastries. All things aside, the best part of our stay was the hospitality. Samson the manager made sure every detail was catered to while the restaurant staff were attentive and friendly.
