Good welcome from Zed and room very clean and comfortable with a great view over the sea and towards the harbour. Breakfast was fine although dining room a liitle cramped for space between tables particularly given this was the first day after the latest relaxation of Covid restrictions. Only slight drawback was the room was on the top floor with 4 flights of stairs.
Emma and Zed are fantastic hosts and the guesthouse was spotless and in a fantastic part of Whitby facing the pavilion.

Very warm, friendly welcome. Lovely room with great sea view though it's situation on the top floor with many flights of stairs to climb and no lift would not suit some people, Fabulous choice of freshly cooked dishes for breakfast with very pleasant and efficient staff. Clean, good amenities and excellent location - sea front with 10 minute walk to the centre.

We booked a room with a sea view and wasn't disappointed! Very friendly and were made to feel welcome. There are no lifts so be prepared to use the stairs. Will definitely stay again.
The Riviera gets it all right. Lovely friendly welcome, comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast. And good to see sensible Covid precautions in place (little things like pots for unused and used pens, and bigger like fogging rooms to sanitise them) I’ve stopped in enough places to appreciate a stay that is easy. And the Riviera makes it easy. No qualms in recommending them.
Only stayed one night but the hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely book again!
Very comfortable greeted professionally but friendly. Excellent guest information book, had I been staying longer it would have been very helpful. High standard of cleaning. Amazing view.
