"A quiet, relaxing holiday with a seaview"

A very cozy room with beautiful views over the bay. Perfect location for exploring Northumberland. The hostess Kath, lovely, was very friendly and helpful person.

"Proper northern seaside hospitality"

The view! Absolutely spectacular, with no vehicular traffic. So peaceful to drop asleep listening to the sound of the sea!The room was exceptional. Clean, comfortable, very well maintained and tastefully decorated.

The fact that we had to return home and leave Newbiggin-By-The-Sea!

"Exceptional"

We were visiting the seaside town of Newbiggin By The Sea, and wanted to stay somewhere fairly central and the Captain's Lodge was perfect for us. Ideally located to easily explore the local town. The accommodation was exactly as described. The room was a decent size, clean and comfortable, and with all amenities, and Cathy was an excellent hostess - who recommended various restaurants and bars in town. We will definitely be staying at the Captains Lodge again next time we visit Newbiggin By The Sea.

There was nothing I didn't like.

"Pleasant"

Like the location

The room is too small The toilet and bathroom are separate and at the end of the corridor. No chair to sit on as the room was too small and I had to sit on the bed
