The room was pristine, very pretty and so comfortable. The location was also perfect, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

I stayed here whilst I took part in the Great North Swim. The hosts were lovely, really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Great location. Everything was great. I would recommend and would visit again.

The place is centrally located in Windermere, 5 mins walk from the train station and to good bus connections to other parts of Lake District. Our room was cleaned daily. However the place does not, or rather no longer serves hot breakfast (previous travellers review suggest that it used to). During our stay they served only cereals, toast and fruit. When we asked the host about the breakfast the response also came across as somewhat defensive. This is not specified on the website either, and when we arrived the visitor brochure in the room still had a hot breakfast menu. It was changed on the second day after we queried it. So, overall stay was okay but breakfast was a disappointment.

Frank was a lovely host, we enjoyed our stay. The B&B is in a good location. Room was clean and has everything that you may need. We look forward to coming back for another weekend.

Great weekend. College House is comfortable and ideally situated close to Windermere station in the town centre. Had some great long walks and good pub lunches along the way. Recommend any of the Mountain Goat minibus tours for a relaxed day out. I plan to return to College House next year to see more of the wonderful Lake District.
