College House

very close to the village centre, pleasing guest house , with nice views at the front, garden and quiet area . breakfast was at local cafe because of family bereavement ,very nice too. owner was very happy to help ,and accommodating.rooms adequate with shower tea/coffee and water , nice little place overall .

A lovely scenic area. Took a tour around and enjoyed the sites and tranquillity even though quite a few tourists. Easy walk from Windermere to Bowness. Variety of restaurants, etc.

Very good location, away from very busy area but close enough for shops, restaurants and some pubs. Enjoyed our three night stay. Nice breakfast, very clean and very helpful host.

We arrived early and were able to check in immediately. Staff even helped us with our luggage. Bus and train station within easy walking distance. So are restaurants and groceries, however there are far more places to eat in Bowness. Breakfast at the College House was super. Wi-fi worked most of the time in the room. Recommend taking lake cruise from Bowness and bus trip to Grasmere. Very good experience at College House. Thanks Frank and Doreen!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and we really enjoy it! The location is good. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from Windermere train station. And it's also walkable distance to Bowness. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. However, the sink was in the bedroom not in the bathroom, and there's no fridge in the room which were a little bit inconvenient. But the owners were willing to put our drink in their fridge and we very appreciate that. The breakfast was amazing English breakfast! My boyfriend and I were actually excited about breakfast every night we went to sleep! The owners were very friendly as well. So overall, this was the most amazing B&B I've ever stayed in, and I'll definitely come back for my next holiday in Windermere.

We were here for 2 nights and found the location very convenient for eateries which were very busy even at this time of the year. It was difficult to get a table if you did not book in advance even on weekdays. We did not and took our chance and had a good meal at The Pig. I can imagine parking at the guest house,on the street , could be difficult at peak season. We did not have any problem. Breakfast was good. The landlady asked if there was anything we would like her to provide for the next morning. Overall we enjoyed our visit to Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside .

We had a great stay at the College House B&B. It was located in a safe/quiet neighbourhood with easy access to the Windermere's main eating area. The room was very clean and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent...a full English breakfast prepared to our own preference. We have no hesitation in recommending the College House

Toured Windemere and surrounding lake communities by hop on off bus. Very scenic!

Well received and looked after for the entire stay. food lovely

The photos and pictures on the wall are fascinating. The bed is comfortable but it has a strong smell on them. Besides,there are too many spiders.
