Excellent Services and Environment.

The room my husband and I stayed in was really tiny, it was difficult to move around without bumping into furniture, the roof or each other. It also had the washbasin inside this tiny bedroom space! The host was pleasant and provided excellent breakfast. The toiletries provided were of good quality.

Very pleasant and felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. En-suite room was good and spotless with tea/coffee and TV. Bathroom was also spotless with power shower. Breakfast was great, tasty and cooked in full view with choice of cereals, fruit and the full English. Very friendly hosts. Would visit again and would recommend.

whilst visiting from Australia a friend suggested she take me round the lake district and as I am a fan of Beatrix Potter and had not seen the area we booked for Friday night until Sunday morning so that we could tour round which we did. The B & B is in a quiet street with off road parking, plenty steps and stairs so unsuitable for anyone with leg problems. The welcome was good the cooked breakfast fantastic and the Lighthouse restaurant just steps away a very good venue for drinks or dining inside or out! Also plenty of nice shops for a spending spree.

Very comfortable. Shame that breakfast was only served at 8.30 with no flexibility offered.

Beautiful old stone house, set back from the main street on a hill. Quiet place, short walk from train station, friendly hosts, good breakfast, nice cat.

Fantastic and welcoming couple! We had a great time at this B&B. The breakfast is very nice. Great location near the train station and close to good restaurants and pubs. Rooms are comfortable. Quiet place. Highly recommended.

Doreen was a fantastic host. Very friendly and informative, but not overbearing. Room was comfortable and clean, and is a 30 second walk from the highstreet. 1 mile walk to Lake Winderemere.

Our hosts were really lovely. Their house charming, nice to be in someone's home . Nice to chat with the proprietor's, helps to have an inside view of a place.
