"Exceptional"

This is simply one of the best hotels to relax and enjoy in Africa!! Everything from the people to the bed are awesome !!! If you have to stay in knysna don’t even think about other hotel!

"Fairly good option for Thesen Island"

Fairly nice hotel situated on Thesen Island...conveniently close to a few restaurants. Currently building outside the hotel....a lot of noise and dust going on. Some staff members were quite friendly, but do not deliver service. Waited over an hour for ice from room service - had to phone twice...

"Turbo charged hotel service, style and location"

We stayed for a long weekend on a visit we have done many times at other hotels. The Turbine is simply superb, the combination of the modern design combined with the reuse of historic artifacts is masterfully conceived, the staff from the Front Desk, Room Service and Bar plus the Restaurant Lounges were all well trained, friendly and professional. WE had a stunning view from our room over the canal and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Excellent"

The only thing that I can criticise is that the hot water was brown. I'm not sure if that is normal or if the hotel was previously aware of it. The stay was an amazing experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a quality getaway.

"Trying too hard to be cool without substance"

The design of the hotel looks cheap. Room was small. With exception of the lady in the reception that checked us in, everyone else was unfriendly. People serving breakfast looked so unhappy. Check-out was really bad. No questions about the stay. The supervisor was at the reception at time and she not even acknowledged or looked at us. Pub didn’t have good variety of beer. They called themselves “gastro pub” but had no artisan beers or nice dishes. We couldn’t wait to leave the hotel. Not the typical friendly, warm, great service and amazing food you find everywhere in South Africa.
