Dat de lift niet naar verdieping 3 ging.wij vonden het gehorig

A very comfortable room. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. We cycled to the hotel and there was secure bike parking.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. We knew we would arrive late because of huge delays at the Eurotunnel, so we contacted the hotel in advance. We were informed that the reception was open 24 hours and that there would be no problem checking in whenever we arrived. We finally got there at 2 a.m. — the hotel was completely closed and there was nobody at reception. There was a Ring doorbell that did not work, and the intercom also did not work. I called the hotel phone number many times, but the phone was switched off. I also tried contacting them on WhatsApp, which we had used several times before, but this time only a bot answered, telling me to call 112 in case of emergency instead of connecting me with a staff member. We had to bang on the doors until we woke up other guests, who finally let us into the building. Only then did we discover that check-in was done through an AI screen/monitor with no staff present. It took us around 40 minutes to finally get into our room. I do not need to explain the amount of stress caused by the fear of being stranded in a foreign country at night and possibly having to sleep in the car. In the morning we also discovered there was no hot water, so we had to take a freezing cold shower.

Het hotel ligt prachtig in een mooie bosrijke omgeving.

Wij zaten aan de achterkant van het hotel. Kamer met balkon. Uitzicht was niet fraai en aan de buitenkant achterstallig onderhoud. We misten sfeer en wat vrolijke planten op het grote terras onder ons.
