Misia Country Resort

A beautiful place in a beautiful location. Would definitely return.

My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Misia but we definitely would have been happy to stay for longer. The hotel/resort was nestled in a tiny little hamlet not far from Orvieto and might be a bit tricky to find. The room was clean, nicely decorated, spacious, light and airy. The window had a fantastic view of looking over one of many valleys of Umbria. The isolation of the location did mean some much appreciate peace and quiet. Check in/out were prompt and the included breakfast was satisfying if not particularly extraordinary. If we were staying longer in order to do some wine staying in the area Misia would make a great home base.

We were a little nervous at first trying to find Misia...but once we arrived we were in love! Giorgio and Helena were so sweet and welcoming! The location is breathtaking, we only stayed for one night because that is all that our schedule would allow. We love Misia so much that we have booked TWO nights this time to return 1 year later...almost to the exact date. We can't wait!!

Hard to find and well worth the time to find it! LOVED IT!

The care and attention to detail in this place is remarkable. You can tell that the owners have taken great care and pride in the selection of every single detail. While the location is a little out of the way and a car is absolutely essential, it's well worth the drive and would make a terrific base for visiting this region.

We loved the drive up and the views from the hotel. The room was nice, clean and had everything we needed. We even had a wine cooler!! The owner was gracious and helpful with our dinner plans. She welcomed us and made us feel at home immediately. She recommended a great ristorante for dinner in Ovierto and it exceeded our expectations. The landscape and walking paths around the resort are gorgeous. We are planning a return trip and will not hesitate to stay here again.

Not easy to find without GPS but more than worth the effort. Owner Giorgio makes you feel welcome immediately with great coffee or wine, about which he is both knowledgeable and proud of the local wines. Breakfast room is elegant, all white, and a much better range of offerings than almost anywhere else we've stayed. Don't make the same mistake we did, we only booked for one night and hated to leave. Five stars aren't enough! And nearby Orvieto is highly underrated in comparison to the Tuscan hill towns further north.

The hotels location is superb. the jotel itsself is really nice, however it smeled really badly and in general was a biy disappointing.

The very nice lady at reception was super friendly and helpful. Main building, room, and breakfast are clean, well kept, and attractive. Abundant free parking right by the building.
