Amsterdam's Curry Mansion Inn

Very nice.

I’m concerned I am a widow traveling alone and thought this was a secure lodging. It was documented that the entrance was secure but there was no secure entrance, no security, no one to secure the entrance. However if a guest enters a room with two unaccompanied women or another room where the door was breached and someone entered the room and the police couldn’t get in contact with the owners and from the victims the owner did not want to press charges because that would be negative for reviews… How can this be a safe place to stay. Make a reservation and give guidance about allergies and carpeting and they place you in an annex with soiled (from other reviews) with a “balcony” first floor next to a pool that has no security and anyone can enter. I agree it is a good location but everything in key west is within walking distance. Maybe this time the intruder only caused damage to the door but next time. I think of protecting the patrons that trust that this is a secure honest property. I am willing to pay more to ensure a secure time away from

When I made the reservation I didn’t know I was not in the main mansion. I was in 307, a big corner room 👍. Shower is large but not very inviting. Pool is small but adequate. All in all, I enjoyed the property and history. Great location. I will stay there again, I visit KW twice a year.

There is no one on property. It’s all over the app. Don’t really care for that

I really do not understand the bad recent reviews. My daughter and I stayed there for 4 nights and have nothing bad to stay. The property is beautiful and well kept - especially considering it’s 100+ years old. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the pillows were great. The lounge chairs by the pool were very nice and the pool was very refreshing. The location is hard to beat being just a block away from Duval. There was parking on site, we had no problem leaving our car there and there was always room for us to park the golf cart. There was staff on premises - a maintenance man, housekeeping, chef in the mornings and bartender in the morning and evenings. They were all very nice, interactive and helpful. The company was also very attentive via text and would respond within a few minutes to answer any questions. We had an amazing time and will absolutely stay there again. My only advice is being so close to the hustle and bustle of Duval, if you’re a light sleeper bring a white noise machine as sometimes intoxicated people leaving the bars can be loud and belligerent - no fault of the property.

The Inn has changed ownership for the WORSE I found no front office staff and had to fend for myself. It appears that their guest security is non-existent based on my experience, non-guests were able to roam the property and knock on our doors at all hours of the night The Curry did not have the charm that had me coming back for the last 25 years-never again The absentee management was not responsive to reasonable inquiries andthe senior management never returned my calls or emails.

I just love this property. Close to duval street. Big rooms. Fully stocked with everything you need.
