Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon

The hotel was good and service excelent. Food really good and we enjoyed the beach and feeding turtles seeing baby sharks. Good experience.

It was really a blessing staying in Hikka Tranz. After checking ,the bell desk boys THATHSARA & PUBUDU helped us a lot . They are very helpful & friendly. And also efficient doing their jobs . The whole experience made our stay a pleasant one . We enjoyed the beach and the pool . Hope to visit Hikka T ranz

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the amazing staff. A special thank you to Ms. Dilakshi at the reception for her kindness and support. The location is beautiful, and the hotel is extremely kid-friendly—our 2-year-old had so much fun and truly enjoyed every moment. The room was spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The food was absolutely superb, with a wide variety and incredible taste—truly beyond words. This was our third stay at a Cinnamon Hotel, and once again they exceeded our expectations with their genuine Sri Lankan hospitality, excellent service, and outstanding food. We had a relaxing and memorable stay as a family. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a great location right on the main street of Hikkaduwa and within walking distance of one of the area’s main attractions, the Turtle Beach. It’s a large resort-style hotel with various activities available on-site. The full board option is very convenient, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as buffet, offering a good variety of choices. The outdoor swimming pool overlooks the beach and has direct access to it.

We’ve just returned from an 11 nights stay at this hotel. What made it such a great stay was the overall friendliness, attentiveness and dedication by all the staff in all departments. Our room was clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The large balcony overlooked the ocean. The only negative I could have was the lack of / position of electrical sockets, but we made do. Our dedicated cleaner made a special effort and made a different towel animal with every clean 😊. We also enjoyed watching the various weddings, which took place whilst we stayed at the hotel. The hotel is ideally situated right on the beach and the entrance on the main road, where you could find lots of restaurants, shops, massage places and banks.

Itse hotelli, rakennettu 1985, uudistettu viimeksi 2005, alkaa olemaan jo seuraavaa remonttia vailla, ainakin huoneiden osalta. Kokemusta tuli kolmen huoneen verran, kun ensimmäinen vaihdettiin merinäköalan puuttumisen takia, vaikka sellainen oli varattu. Seuraava hieman suurempi huone oli näköalaltaan hyvä, mutta seinästä alkoi vuotamaan vettä lattialle( varmaankin joku putkirikko). Kolmas ja suurin huone oli ok. Ilmeisesti huoneen koko oli myös samalla huoneluokittelu Standardista Sea Wiew- huoneeseen. Plussana mainittakoon sängyn koko, leveys n. 260 cm. Yleiset tilat ovat hyvässä kunnossa ja suurehkot. Arvostelun tähdistä 2 tulee henkilökunnan ystävällisyydestä ja palvelualttiudesta sekä turvallisesta hotelliympäristöstä, vartijoita ja henkilökuntaa oli kaikkialla. Tavarat voi jättää huoletta allas- aluelle lojumaan. Aamiainen oli erinomainen, sapuskaa laidasta laitaan, ruokarajoitteisille en kylläkään nähnyt kuin soijamaidon. Suosittelen paikkaa jos ei tarvitse super hienoa huonetta. The hotel itself, built in 1985, last renovated in 2005, is already starting to be in need of another renovation, at least in terms of the rooms. The experience was about three rooms, when the first one was changed due to the lack of a sea view, even though one was booked. The next slightly larger room had a good view, but water started leaking from the wall onto the floor (probably a broken pipe). The third and largest room was ok. Apparently the size of the room was also the same as the room classification from Standard to Sea View room. The size of the bed, width approx. 260 cm, should be mentioned as a plus. The general facilities are in good condition and quite large. The 2 stars in the review come from the friendliness and service-mindedness of the staff and the safe hotel environment, there were guards and staff everywhere. You can leave your belongings in the pool area without worry. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of snacks, although I only saw soy milk for those with dietary restrictions. I recommend the place if you don't need a super fancy room.
