Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon

I had an amazing stay at Hikka Tranz — truly a 5/5 experience from start to finish. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all exceptional. A special shout-out to Nadun and Thilakasiri, who took incredible care of us during breakfast and dinner. Their hospitality, professionalism, and warm attitude made our stay even more memorable. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend Hikka Tranz for anyone visiting Hikkaduwa.

This is our 5th year in a row visiting Sri Lanka, so we've seen a lot — both good and bad. This time we arrived as a big family of seven, including a wheelchair user, and we’ve been genuinely impressed. The service and staff are extremely friendly and always ready to help. A huge plus: the pool is fully wheelchair-accessible. There are two paths to the beach: • One is just a minute away and takes you to a spot with turtles, waves, and corals. • The second leads to a calmer area without big waves — perfect for people with limited mobility. We’ve already spent 10 days here and still have another 10 to enjoy. Very happy we chose this place. P.S. There are two great restaurants nearby — one with excellent fresh fish and another Italian place with great pizza. The best part? You can order from both at the same time, so everyone gets what they want. Highly recommend — 100%.

We came for the dinner buffet. It was worth it. The staff were so friendly. Especially Mr. Sampath from the front office was so helpful from the beginning to the end.

This place is an absolute gem! Theres turtles on the beach, baby sharks to swim with, a surf school and some of the most incredible restaurants near by. We stayed all inclusive and the food in the hotel was incredible, loads of choice and an amazing spread of local dishes as well and freshly prepared salads the the ‘salad action’ bar. It made it very hard to venture out and try the local restaurants! The entire hotel is incredibly clean, well looked after and secure. Rushan, our cleaner was lovely and very good at what he did, including his amazing towel animals on the bed everyday! There’s a large and professional security team on duty 24 hours a day but you hardly notice them, other than their friendly Sri Lankan “hello” and beaming smile. All the staff here seem to love working here, are very well trained and so attentive. They all take the time to get to know the guests, remember names, room number and, yet again welcome you with the beaming Sri Lankan smile. Cocktails at the pool bar are a must, rain or shine! The staff are, lovely, hard working and great bar tenders! A special mention to Kumara, Janaka, Presanna and Ruvindu! Unfortunately I can’t remember overtones names but all the staff are exceptional. I’ve never gone back to the same hotel twice but I will most certainly be coming back to this one. The area is lively, safe and great for exploring. So much to do and everyone we have met have been so friendly, helpful and just generally happy!

amazing experience hotel in superb prime location. all staff very attentive and helpful. especially Renuta and our room cleaner was excellent.rooms probably need updating but downstairs area pleasant to sit and relax. pool good size. Would gladly recommend anyone to come. we will be coming back next year in March.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property may be a bit older, but it is extremely clean, well-maintained, and truly beautiful. The beach is stunning, with turtles and reef sharks regularly appearing right along the shore—an unforgettable experience. The security team was always present and attentive, which made us feel very safe and comfortable throughout our stay. All the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special mention goes to Renuka, who stood out with her exceptional kindness, helpfulness, and genuine compassion. She truly made our stay even more memorable. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would love to return.

We stayed from 19th-29th October 2025. We really enjoyed the stay and location. From the staff who welcomed us at the gate and the security guards around the resort to the restaurant staff and front desk, everyone treated us well and was professional. Chef Roshan greeted us daily and gave recommendations on food to try for breakfast and dinner. All the chefs were very hospitable including hoppa chef. In particular one of the chefs cleaned the pan to serve me as he respected my religion and didn’t contaminate with other food. After a long drive, we received a warm welcome and checked into our room — Room No. 429, a top-floor, sea-facing room with a stunning view. The room was comfortable, and the view made it extra special. We took a small walk to the beach, which was peaceful and clean, and later relaxed by the pool before getting ready for dinner. The food was delicious, and the calm, colorful surroundings made the evening perfect. The garden was well maintained and added to the beauty of the place. The next morning, we went to the beach again. It was quiet, and to our surprise, we saw a few sea turtles swimming nearby — such a wonderful and rare experience! If you wish to see them, go early in the morning. After a refreshing sea bath, we enjoyed a lovely Sri Lankan breakfast with many varieties to choose from. My wife was very happy, and we also celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary (and 14 years together as a couple) by cutting a small cake. Every moment was relaxing and memorable. When it was time to check out, the staff were very helpful — special thanks to Ms. Muthumali from reservations who assisted us with everything. Overall, the hotel, food, staff, and service were all excellent. It was the perfect place to celebrate our special day, and we’ll definitely come back again.

Amazing hotel right un front of the beach. Is the best luxury hotel with European standards on t'he àrea. You can see sea turtles and sharks from the beach in front of the hotel or swim in their huge pool with ocean views. Rooms and amenities are luxury level, they have balconies in every room that face the ocean and staff is servicial and extremely friendly, they'd make you feel like home. We want to specially thank the attetion recieved from Tharushi and Madusanka, two creat waitress at the restaurant. If you're in t'he area of Hikkaduwa, it's the best hotel you can stay. Thanks a million to all staff!
