Farmhouse Il Fienile

Very enjoyable brief stay in friendly agriturismo surrounded by peaceful vineyard and beautiful countryside with old hilltop walled town of Montepulciano only a few kilometers drive away. We stayed in a cute and comfortable one room attic appartment. Staff only present onsite during the day but are very accomodating and helpful although its advantageous to have an Italian speaking partner - little if any English spoken. However still highly recommended.

Hello, We spent two nights at the Farmhouse IL Fienile the end of October. It is a charming rustic property and the studio we had is nicely decorated. We were warmly greeted and even received a bottle of local white wine which we enjoyed with our lunch. The studio apartment is good sized with the bed area in a loft with a low ceiling, but quite comfortable. The only problem with staying in this particular studio is that we couldn't get the heater to turn on and only one of the two burners on the electric range worked no matter how long we fussed with it. Which made cooking a adventure. However, the property is quite lovely and I would certainly give the hotel another chance.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. This is a charming place to stay which I found very convenient as a base for exploring Tuscany.

cutest farmhouse. Last year stayed in the upstairs one bedroom apt; this year stayed in the "camomile" one bedroom apt downstairs. Both are good. Upstairs is larger, with fireplace, but I liked the downstairs better bc it had a bigger kitchen and was a little more private. Love this place and will return. Pool is gorgeous and set in vineyards. There is a nearby small road, but traffic is minimal..just be aware. Adorable and affordable.

The heat didn't work at first, but it was taken care of by the second night. It was difficult to communicate with the owners, because of language barrier. All issues were with the apartment were taken care of quickly. As we were preparing to leave, 30 minutes before check out time, the electricity and gas were turned off to the apartment, which made washing the dishes and using electronics impossible. We were not aware that heat (=gas) was not included in the price of the room. The location is beautiful.

Tout est absolument extraordinaire dans cet endroit ! Un des meilleurs Agritourismo ou nous avons séjourné. L’accueil y est très chaleureux, les appartements sont très propre, spacieux, confortable et idéalement situes au milieu d'un vignoble. A la fois calme et a proximité de tout , nous avons prévu de revenir très prochainement dans ce petit jardin d'Eden!

The 2 of us had a two room apartment, which could sleep 4 but I would recommend this for any couple as the second bed is a only a bed settee in the living room area. We had loads of space and a comfortable seating area. Il Fienile is a beautiful old farmhouse skilfully converted into apartments. There is a covered parking area for each apartment plus individual outdoor dining areas. The gardens are extremely well cared for and the pool was immaculately clean with plenty of sunbeds and deckchairs. We stayed for a week but many of the guests (from all over the world) were on touring holidays and stayed 1 or 2 nights to enjoy the peace and a spot of leisure on their hectic schedules. The location is perfect for Montepulciano, 2 or 3 km from the town which is full of shops, enoteca and restaurants; plus many other beautiful Tuscan towns are easily accessible. One downside was the busy road that runs past Il Fienile, it was practically non-stop traffic (cars plus heavy agricultural vehicles) from very early until late. Also our shower drainage was extremely sluggish, but the drains are probably very old, so it was to be expected. All in all we enjoyed staying here in September and would recommend it as an intimate agriturismo experience when the weather is slightly cooler.

Vi hyrde den minsta lägnenheten på detta mysiga "hotell" och var supernöjda. Det fanns fyra lägenheter som låg avskiljt från varandra och en fyra-fem uteplatser som alla var väldigt mysiga. Stor pool precis vid vinfälten och solstolar och parasoll till alla. Massor av lavender och luktärtor så det var grönt och fint! Utomhuskök med grill och gasol som man fick använda och basilika i krukor. Det äldre paret som har det var gulliga, de bjöd på frukt och gav oss kartor över närliggande städer men kunde inte så jättemycket engelska. Det fanns utmärkta parkeringsplatser till varje lägenhet och dessa var under solskydd. Vår lägenhet var ett litet rum med sovloft som var fräscht och ganska nybyggt. Trinettdelen var aningen liten men det fanns ett stort kylskåp. Utanför lägenheten fanns trädgårdsmöbler och varje dag kom en liten svala och satte sig vid vinrankorna ovanför. På dagarna åkte vi på utflykter till olika platser i Toscana och detta låg bra "i mitten". På eftermiddagarna återvände alla gästerna och läste böcker vid poolen. Himla trevligt ställe helt enkelt! Ligger dock ganska nära vägen så det blir inte helt tyst om det är det man är ute efter men å andra sidan ligger det lättilgängligt. Det enda egentliga negativa var att det inte fanns något varmvatten efter klockan 21-22 ungefär. Har aldrig tidigare känt att jag vill åka tillbaka till något ställe men det vill jag till detta..!

We loved our stay at the Farmhouse IL Fienile. Our two rooms were perfect for the 4 of us though there are larger accommodations available. The location in Montepulchiano was ideal, the pool relaxing, and Graziella, the manager, took care of any of our needs. Our wek at the Farmhouse IL Fienile, was just what we needed!
