Farmhouse Il Fienile

The problem with Il Fienile is that it's a series of flats - not the cottage it appears to be in publicity photos. I am 6'6" tall & was offered a room with an iron platform on which stood the bed! I hit my head on the platform from below & the ceiling (which was the unprotected floor of the flat above) was only a couple of feet above the bed. Noisy Americans occupied the top flat.... Manager very helpful & moved us straight away to a larger unit which was not booked for 6 of our 7 days. Much more comfortable - though could still hear the Americans most nights. Bought & drank some good Montepulciano wines at Il Fienile, but moved out for last night rather than try the small room & hired a smashing room in Montefollonico rearby.

Had a kitchen, patio with table and chairs for a picnic. Surronding vinyard. Bucolic setting and great value. A family farm in Tuscany, close to Montepulciano hill town!!!! What could be better? Mike and Daughters Calif, USA

Molto carino e rilassante ; elegante l'ambiente circostante . Molto cordiali e disponibili i gestori . L'unico neo il confort dell'appartamento anche perchè , forse data la stagione e non funzionando i caloriferi , era un po' freddino e umido .

This is a very nice farmhouse, that is in beautiful countryside. The owners/managers were very nice, but not always on the premises for questions about the area, hotel, etc. The location is about 3-4km from the town of Montepulciano, which is nice if you want a quiet stay, but a bit far if you want to be in the town all the time. Also, the reservations / hotel does not tell you about the extra charges we were required to pay such as the HEATING per day, even though the heat was already on and we did not increase the heat in the room. I would recommend this again to a couple that wanted to explore the countryside and have a quiet weekend. We had a wonderful weekend, but would probably choose a different location closer to town.

Very much baby friendly place. We had cot bed arranged, huge grass area to play and crawl on, would use toddler pool if it was warmer. You do need a car if you are staying in il Fienile, but there is dedicated parking space for each apartment users. lovely place, will be going back hopefully.

This was an adorable little agritourism cottage. The people were very friendly and the room was pretty much what we expected. The setting was beautiful and the cottage was decorated very nicely. Less than 5 minute drive to Montepluciano. Location was a little difficlut to find, but then we didn't have a GPS. There was no internet or cell phone reception, but is that really a negatve? The pool and hot tub were very nice and the apples that fell from the trees were delicious. If we had to list one complaint it would be that we felt the bed was very hard. We definitely hope to retun some day.

Das Hotel bietet romantische Appartements, die Lage ist "Toskana pur". Tip für Erholung Suchende. Die Nähe zu Montpulciano rundet den Eindruck positiv ab.

Nice location in the middle of the countryside next to lovely fortified cities. Motivated owners and clean place. Nice swimming pool. To be recommanded...

une ancienne ferme retapée, (qui produit toujours du vin), qui propose des petits appartements dans un cadre enchanteur, loin des bruits de la ville et des routes. Un petit coin de paradis, une hotesse charmante, et une piscine très agréable.
