"Excellent"

8.0

We stayed at Westhill for 7 days, we had an issue with wash basin plug stuck, on the first occasion they managed to get it out to drain the water it then happened again so this time they replaced it while we were out which was good, so dealt with promptly, the room was always clean and staff very friendly and helpful, there was entertainment on each night which was good, sometimes a movie other times live music, breakfast was always good with lots to choose from and staff always pleasant, if there was one thing that could be better i would say the room looked a bit tired and dated but apart from that no complaints. promptlyptlywater

"Overall not great - dated, but clean"

6.0

Pros: really clean, staff lovely, lovely pool and hot tubs, beautiful gardens. Cons: really very tired and dated. Breakfast was very sad, limited offering of continental, took ages to bring us teas and coffees. Was so abysmal we ate breakfast elsewhere the other days. Shame as it if was modernised the place would be lovely. Room was also VERY basic, mattress was not comfy, bathroom door didn’t close and toilet right by your head if you lie in bed! We left the hotel after two days and went somewhere else. Real shame, overall not great.

"Lovely experience"

10.0

All the staff made me so welcome, in particular Lisa J and Hope on Reception and the Venezuelan boys in the dining room. Breakfast was so nice and great choices on offer. Happy Hour at the bar was ideal and lovely garden area to relax in with an aviary full of beautuful birds. Dinner Menu changes daily and always vegetarian options. Lovely to walk around in the countryside and see the Jersey cows. Shuttle Bus to town in the morning is a great idea, but would be better if there was a return service. Movie Nights and Singers keep the resident's entertained. During the day there is resident dog the lovely Archie 🐾

"Lovely first visit to Jersey"

10.0

After considering a few different hotels for our stay in Jersey, we decided on Westhill due to it's pool, grounds and half board option. We were not disappointed at all as this charming hotel and the staff really grow on you. We had a standard double room on the side of the hotel which was comfortable if a little dated. The pool and grounds were lovely and we enjoyed playing table tennis and badminton there. One of the highlights were the delicious meals and the excellent dining room staff including Carlos, Jorge, Augusto and the maitre d who especially got us a jar of Nutella when we mentioned our son would like some on his pancakes. My only suggestion would be that the drinks staff take your order at the beginning of your meal. Sometimes we waited until after our starter to be asked for our order. The hotel is a 25 minute walk to St Helier which we easily did a few times, as well as catching the free minibus from the hotel which runs each morning. There was entertainment (singers) three times while we were there as well as a couple of movie and a board games night. After a slight hiccup with our drinks bill which Annette quickly sorted out, we checked out and were sad to leave. I would definitely visit Jersey and this hotel again.

"worst dump ever"

2.0

My brother me and mom were on a return trip to Jersey, as we have been many times, but I will never again do a surprise hotel. We arrived in Jersey, which is a blessing, and it was a blessing until we turned the corner and saw what appeared to be a shabby old folks' home. As we pulled into the car park, my brother pointed out the hearing aid culer old assistance handle and the front door, which had tacky 50s school glass. when we went in, it smelled very fusty and old i looked down a coridoor wich had crap old sofas in and the dinning room wich was out of a cheap weading from the 70s we began to check in and then i realised they were still useing the outdated system of manuly signing in. after checking in we realised this dump lacked a lift so i had to carry the bags up 2 flights of stirs with a banister that felt like it was about to colapse. i got up to floor 3 first and noticed a random room that had bear floor old lamps wheire and a random Colecion of chiars. we opend our room door (and remeber this is the best room in the hotel) it strrok me trhat it was a large empty room with litel furnisher the bathroom was a crap house and there was just a unpllesent fealing about the room stains on the roof ecetra. mom decided to ask for a refund as we worked up a plan to stay els wear we made our way down and mom went to recepcion wile we what in the garden. the pool looked dirty and there was the teribel anoying noise of a bird cage. we re enterd and upon arivel at rececion we saw a man who was the manager in heated argument with mom baisicly he siad that he would not give us a refund and no hotel in the world would he also kept insisting evreyone else was haveing fun and we were the problem . we retreated to the room wear mom was about to give in until i recomended we check chat gpt it turns out if there are stains on the roof u can leagaley get a refund . we went back down the ricety stair case and waited for the maneger who we realised was the owner jhonathan smale a very aregant lard! he then gave us a refuned and we scarped we jumped in the car and went to les ormes self catering who were life savers they gave us a brillant deal on a cabin and saved our trip. in short if u need to stay in jersey i recomed other hotels like the merton the price at this tip was £650 a night a totel rip of. this place is past its sell by date tear it down. mr smale is the kined of arogant rued man full of contempt that sits at the bar drinking bear.

"A day out"

Went for Sunday BBQ menu. Very basic menu. No pasta or french fries served, Misleading as mentioned on menu! Not worth the advertised price. It was better last year we visited.
