Looe Key Reef Resort and Dive Center

Had a trip cancellation due to bad weather on May 10th 2025. Today May 27th and still working on getting the money refunded by the staff. Terrible customer service. Every time called them, they have an excuse to not to refund money. Do not go there. Terrible.

We enjoyed our stay at Looe Key. We really enjoyed our balcony overlooking the canal. Also, enjoyed the Tiki Bar and the BBQ food truck was excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Towel rack came off the wall first day toilet was hard to flush had to pull the chain from inside the tank and you can't adjust the volume or shut off the TV with the remote needed to unplug it which is probably why I found it unplugged. Other than that it was convenient for me to be close to family

Basic accommodations, nothing fancy, the property is showing its age. The toilet paper holder had fallen off the wall and the paper was on the back of the toilet. However, the room was clean, the a/c worked fine, the bed was comfortable, and the property is a lower-priced alternative to the high-priced hotels in Key West. Previews reviews had commented that the rooms near the bar get a lot of noise, so I requested a quiet room and they gave me the one furthest from the bar. It was quiet. I would stay there again.

Tv & AC did not work in 1 of the rooms

Great alternative choice to Key West. We took the afternoon seaplane to the Dry Tortugas, but didn't want to pay the prices of Key West. Being about 45 minutes north was great. Our trip down the keys was shorter and vice versa, and traveling 45 min after the seaplane ride (with a stop for dinner) was easy, with minimal traffic.

No frills, but clean and comfortable. Room was spacious (I believe our room-29 was fully accessible- had roll in shower) There were some food trucks/stands on site- the donut/desert one was fantastic. We didn’t go into the tiki bar, but it looked like fun. Be aware though, on a Friday night, the music was loud well into the late night hours. It didn’t bother me, I can sleep through a bomb, but it might be a problem for light sleepers.

Staff was friendly. Rooms were very dated. Fixtures were falling off the walls. They have live music every night and depending on the type of music if can be very loud. To the point where I had to turn up my tv to hear it in my room over the sound of the music.

This little gem is great! Easy access right off U.S. 1. They have a large tiki bar with a food truck on site. There are a few other dining options within walking distance, but that's about it.
