first room I had was a bit grim. The wonderful staff changed the room for me and were very helpful and accommodating. super convenient location to everything, was a shame the lift didnt work, quite a few flights of stairs to get to the room. Its a very old property but basic and had everything necessary provided.

Very nice and comfortable stay. The main draw is the EXCELLENT location and amazing view. Would absolutely stay there again.

I’m afraid this hotel has seen its better days. It’s ok but I would spend a little more on a property that has been upgraded. Location is good and within easy walking distance to a lot of the sites.

Very old property. Nothing works . Forget about the elevator even down the stairs you have to walk carefully bcs you can fall down any moment .

The housekeeping staff stole €50 from my makeup bag. They would also roll up my wet towels rather than leave them hanging to dry like I had left them.

The location was perfect, and the room was amazingly quiet despite the popularity of the area. Luckily the elevator was working, but apparently it had been inoperative before our arrival. Beds were horrible- you could feel the springs. We asked staff (housekeeping and person at the desk) for two additional towels (one of ours was ragged), but they didn't show up. We would be happy to stay there again, but would want to check out the beds first!

Good idea to contact hotel to find out best and least hilly way to get there but the view is fantastic once you arrive. The room was very nice and clean with large modern bathroom and plenty of space generally. Paulo and Helena were very happy to help in any way and we were very happy with the hotel. The only drawback was the lift being out of order for part of the stay which made the climb up to the 4th floor a bit tiring but it was fixed while we were there so all good in the end.

I would never stay there again.
