The swimming pool was not like the photos.

A family run business that really cares about looking after the guests in a very warm and personal way. You really feel like a guest not a visitor. It’s a traditional Honduran hotel with beautiful furnishings, marble and stone, warm wood accents and long-standing hotel staff, many of whom have worked there for decades.

The location worked well for us because we wanted to visit the anthropology history Museum and the local market. We were advised to be cautious and alert in the streets outside the hotel, but never encountered any problems.

We loved the hotel Gran Mediterraneo. It is a family business run by people who really care about your experience as a guest. It is a traditional Honduran hotel with lots of character, decorated with marble, stone, warm wood, wrought iron and paintings by Honduran artists. In all, a very warm, welcoming feel. The front desk and the staff are endlessly helpful, making sure that we were well taken care of, supplying location advice, arranging taxis for us and telling us what everything would cost which was invaluable for foreigners visiting Honduras. Great breakfast and a large comfortable room. Highly recommended.

I like the quiet, I did not like that is to dark inside

My husband and I were recently in San Pedro Sula to visit his family and stayed at Hotel Gran Mediterraneo. We had heard great things but hadn't had the opportunity to stay there. What an amazing stay!! The staff is incredibly caring and made sure we were always comfortable and taken care of. They all greet you with a smile and have a very positive attitude. We had breakfast there and the food was to die for, especially the huevos rancheros. The rooms are incredibly spacious and so comfortable, we ended up sleeping in a lot more than we had in a long time. 100% recommended! We will definitely be back any time we visit San Pedro.
