Hotel Gran Mediterraneo

The hotel is located in a bad area. You need to be very safe if you go out alone, (which I didn't). Men next door standing with rifles out front - I was terrified. Even contemplated changing my ticket to leave sooner. Wouldn't recommend to my friends or family.

This was a very nice hotel the customer service was excellent.The rooms was big spacious and clean.The food was good any service at the restaurant was excellent.In a very nice safe Neighborhood I even walk the street at night by myself.

Its a nice hotel, very friendly staff, the food is good - bed its really comfy, easy to park.

Our room was very nice and the food in their restaurant was very good. It is in an area where we did not feel comfortable walking around .It costs $20.00 cab fare from the airport each way.

Great Hotel, Excellent customer service, and Excellent Food! However, I didn't like the "Area" too much (and parking was hard, didn't know there was parking downstairs; not easy to access it). The swimming pool is NOT a swimming pool, unless you are a "Midget" but it's only like 3 feet deep. The Rooms, beds, pillows are all GREAT! But it could use a small Refrigerator. They are cheap with their coffee; could use 2 or 3 bags since it's such a weak coffee you would need all 3 bags. but over all -- it was GREAT! : )

clean: I found 1 live mid size cockroach in my room, next day 1 spider in my door, carpet in my rom was with stains Location: nothing to do walking distance, the neigbord is not good gym: the most horrrible area, spinning bycicle did not work, weight machine either, there was just 1 weight set (rusted), carpet was dirty (I got allergy) other: internet speed is terrible, does not work I stayed in this hotel due the high rating, I don't understand how they got those rates, I travel every month and stay in many different hotels, for a $100 per night this hotel should be way better, I don't understand how they got the Confort franchise finally when I did the check out they charge me extra for a breakfast, all the hotels include 2 breakfast wether the other person is check in or not, this was not the case, I ask them if they will not charge for the breakfast due the inconvenience mentioned above which I wrote in the comnplain book, they say no....that is customer service right?

Walls a bit thin and the airconditioning unit was very noisy. But the facility was very pretty, the breakfast excellent and the service staff extremely helpful.

I was not very happy when i was told i had to pay about $40 more because my son was 17, although, I did added my son on at the time of reservation and said he was 17.... all thebstaff was very friendly and responsive!!

The hotel was excellent with the only hiccup being the loss of cable due to a bad storm. Breakfast was outstanding, they asked exactly what I would like & prepared it just for me. The Honduran National Soccer team was there on my stay as this is there home hotel. They also said the US teams stay here as well. The hotel also offered to send me to a club they have reciprocal privileges with for a pool & said they also had other sporting activities, I didn't do it since I wanted to explore the area. There's also an outstanding sports bar directly up the street that has many TV's, dancing, & lots of girls to socialize with &/or dance. 2 people bought me beers while I visited this bar on 3 occasions, I guess they just love talking with Americans as I offered to buy them but they said no, a first for me. The city is okay if your comfortable traveler, just take cabs at night. The food at restaurants was very good & very reasonably priced. When we first arrived we went to the big modern mall near Hilton & everyone was staring at us, of course I stick out & I guess they don't see many white boys. They were just very curious & it was actually interesting. It was a pleasant trip after all the reading I did prior to going. You still definitely want to be cautious & don't go to places you shouldn't, stay in Central area or go on tours,

Good location, beautiful hotel with spacious room and huge bathroom. Delicious breakfast included. I would definitely stay there again.
