Couldn't actually stay there. I knew it was a mistake when I drove to the front door and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The condition of the lobby and room were much the same. In a word, the place is disgusting. I left after seeing the room, didn't even try to get a refund.

The room was terrible. Door had a board to keep shut. See some sort of bugs on curtains. Hope I didn't bring any home. Just not a good experience. Would never stay again.

Pricey, older motel in need of an update on busy road. TV remote barely worked and shower took a long time to drain.

Was meeting in Poughkeepsie and this was a convenient spot at affordable rates w/o comments about having questionable neighborhood or long-term guests. For us it was absolutely fine, our only issue was that the shower was EXTREMELY hard to turn on. To turn it on you must pull the handle out (towards you) but that is not clearly marked. As a result it took me about 5 minutes to pull hard enough (I was afraid that if I pulled too hard I might damage the plumbing) but I got it. Though I was okay it was SO hard to pull that my wife was not strong enough to do it. I honestly have never seen that before - an odd plumbing issue to have and I'm not sure it can be fixed short of replacing it. This is a "mom & pop" type operation, but if you're okay with that you'll be absolutely fine here. I DO suggest however that they advise guest how to turn the shower on until they can fix it. (I case they read the review our room was #20 - hopefully they can fix it) Honestly, for a mom & pop it's pretty good, as long as you're okay with that I think you'd be comfortable here.

There was a large refrigerator & freezer which was perfect for fruit & water to pack for our sightseeing. It was close to the Gateway Over the Hudson a great place to walk with terrific views of the Hudson River. Close to Roosevelt sites.

Based on the 3.5 rating, I thought this might be an older cute motel. Not the case! This is a 2 at best. Other reviewers called it kitchy. I call it dumpy. The sheets were clean, as was the room, but it is pretty run down. The price ended up to be almost $90.00! Defently not worth it.

Stayed two nights. Saw one staff person the first night--had to ring bell to bring from private quarters for registration. . No ice nor other amenities that we could find (on our own!!) Location good--near Hyde Park. No breakfast.

The owners are trying hard and this place has so much character and potential...unfortunately it'll take some more time and money to get it to where it needs to be. That said, I'd stay there again.

Not many choices in area. Has convenience going for it. Semi permanent folks staying at the rearmost building iffy. Staff gave me keys, told me where room was. that was my only interaction except when some one decided t repair the stoop chairs at 10:00 PM. Room was clean and decently maintained, but shows its age. Would not recommend it to friends unless other lodging not available.

The shower was cold. The comforter had a cigarette burn in it. Overall all, a depressing place to stay and it needs a lot of work. Without enough hot water though in winter made it bad enough to never return.
