Hotel Villa Vinum Cochem

Beautiful little hotel. Very convenient. Wonderful staff. Will stay again.

We stayed at Villa Vinum Cochem for two nights in September, and found it to be a lovely place with friendly staff and pretty rooms. There were a few flaws however, one was the fact that there is no elevator. Our room was on the 3rd floor and it was a very long climb to our room. The room however was large and cozy and worth the walk. If you are able to climb stairs, this was a great room. My sister got a room on the first floor with a lovely patio to sit out on. The others in our group were on the second floor, one had a balcony the other did not. All of the rooms were very nice and the hotel staff was helpful in making dinner arrangements and with any questions we needed answering. There is an outside patio to sit out on which was a great place to congregate with our friends. One important thing we learned was that it is considered rude to bring any of your own beverages out to the patio. The hotel does have a lovely selection of wines and liquors but not a bar or an actual bartender. You just needed to ask the front desk person, if they were around, for something. But we were unaware that sitting in the patio outside (no bar or liquor out there) and bringing a beer or bottle of wine would be very seriously frowned upon. The lesson learned is buy your beverages from the hotel or have a drink in your room. Not a big deal, just something we were not aware of.

Absolutely the best hotel we stayed in this trip. Very nice owner and staff, beautiful room (#6) overlooking the river.Could walk to town center.

Very nice location on the Mosel River, in easy reach of the many stores and restaurants in Cochem. The room was very sparse....more like a college dorm room, but clean. Breakfast was all cold items....great croissants, cereal, cold cuts. There was free internet that was a little spotty, free parking, and free breakfast. But the star player here is the location.

We were only able to stay for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. A beautiful property overlooking the Mosel and located 5 minutes from the centre of town. A very friendly owner who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The room was very well furnished and comfortable. An excellent breakfast too.

Fantastic find! Great location & very very nice. Modern bed & breakfast close to shops & restaurants. We only allowed ourselves one night in cochem during our trip planning but would have loved to stay another night. Owner, Theadore, was very accommodating.
