Cuthbert House

What a wonderful few days in Cuthbert House, Beaufort . Owners Chris and Susanne along with their team were just a delight. From the moment you stepped through the door the greeting was second to none. Friendly, welcoming and inviting. Luxury exudes from every wall with the attention to detail of the interiors and sympathy to the property’s history. Location perfect overlooking the water and a short stroll to town centre. Can only highly recommend this property and plan to return one day.

My wife and I love the Cuthbert House. We adjust our travel between FL and NC so we can spend a few days here in Beaufort at this B and B. Everything is outstanding: location, breakfast, social hour, rooms and amenities. The Cuthbert House is by far the best accommodation in Beaufort. We have stayed here at least 6 times and look forward to more stays in the future.

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend at the lovely Cuthbert House. The owners, who were often on site, and the gracious staff provided a welcome as warm as the Beaufort sun and left us wanting to return. The inn is newly renovated and truly stunning. From the beautifully appointed common rooms, like the parlor and library, to the gracious front porch and back galleys, the inn offers many places to relax and unwind. Just steps from downtown, Cuthbert House is convenient to the town’s wonderful restaurants and shops. The staff and owners were helpful in suggesting restaurants, a carriage tour, and a dolphin cruise even before we arrived. Our stay was made even more perfect with the morning breakfast and afternoon social hour where Chef provided delicious southern fare. We will definitely return as this was one of the most romantic weekends we’ve had in a while. I highly recommend Cuthbert House. I highly recommend this southern charmer!

Booking a room at Cuthbert House Inn for our recent road trip was the best decision we made. What a fabulous place to stay in beautiful Beaufort. From the warm and friendly welcome we received to the spotless and well equipped bedroom, we couldn't have asked for more. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed the 'social hour' when we were able to meet other guests for a chat. It was lovely to meet with the owners, who obviously take immense pride and care in their business. All the hotel staff were friendly, courteous and welcoming. Beaufort is a pretty little town and very walkable. We would return without hesitation.

Every person on staff did his or her job with excellence. Each was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with whatever we needed. The inn was spotless; everywhere we looked appeared to be recently painted. Our room was lovely; the bathroom was wonderfully spacious. Everything was clean to the point of being pristine. We enjoyed each morning’s continental breakfast—yogurt, fruit, breads, cereal; and the daily hot offering was delicious and very nicely prepared. The grounds were well-maintained, and the waterfront view lovely and relaxing. We enjoyed being able to walk into town to restaurants and shops. Everything about our stay was wonderful; highly recommended!

The Cuthbert House provided a wonderful base for our exploration of the Beaufort area. The Inn is beautiful inside and out. We loved the front porch and view. Our room was great with a fridge, comfy bed, sitting area, and nice bathroom. The staff was friendly, helpful, and charming. The breakfast, snacks, and wine reception were excellent. We decided to spend a day at Hunting Island State Park and the Inn provided beach chairs, blankets, and a park pass. They also provide complimentary snacks, water, and soft drinks throughout the day. The Cuthbert House did not disappoint. It was a lovely two night stay.

We spent two nights at the Cuthbert House and it was brilliant. The owners and all staff are wonderful. The bedroom, bathroom & living room were great and well sized. In room coffee and fridge with complementary soda. M&M’s plus teas & coffee available and light snacks. Breakfast was wonderful. Beds very comfortable. Shower excellent.

Do not consider any other inn in Beaufort! I’ve stayed at each of the inns in Beaufort, and the Cuthbert surpasses them all. Completely new interiors, retaining all of the charm of the inn’s history, with service befitting the finest Broad Street Charleston establishment. Centrally located, with hosts who can curate a Beaufort experience that will stay with you for years to come. “Good people, these,” a Southerner’s highest compliment.

Very welcoming from the moment we arrived.. Cuthbert House is immaculately clean and well presented ..could not fault anything at all. Our room was perfect ,bathroom spacious..bed very comfortable..breakfast with fresh fruit ,yoghurt ,cereals pastries and cooked options gave plenty of choice for everyone. Cannot rate the staff highly enough and the owners also.
