Windmills Hotel Apartments

So this is how bad this place really is! We have just arrived and as a biker club, we are used to roughing it, but this place takes the biscuit. Its bad...very bad. Dirty dilapidated and falling apart. No way, worth what we paid. You will see from the photos. Most of the guys have similar issues. To late to relocate, unfortunately. Luckily it's just a few hours before we move on. We note that it's a jet2 holiday approved facility, Shame on Jet2. Don't they have reps checking on this kind of thing. Just got back on 5th of September after a lovely week at the windmills. Great family run apartments. Friendly staff and a big thank you to Eleni for providing us with a ground floor studio as i have mobility issues.. Bus stop so handy which takes you to protaras strip or agia napa if you want. Will definitely be back.

Clean apartments but disappointed to have to pay for air conditioning 10 euros per day as had not been notified of this! Air con then leaked had to use towels to soak up!got fixed after 24 hours.Towels couldn’t hardly dry!fit for bin!no light on our outside stair or my balcony inspite of reporting! Pool good,pub good as was entertainment! All in all needs a face lift! Still enjoyed holiday but wouldn’t book same apartments or recommend!

As we only used our apartment as a place to sleep and shower, i cannot comment on the facilities as a whole apart from our apartment being very clean and modern, the only thing i would improve is the shower temperature/ pressure as it wasn’t the best. However, i would like to thank George from reception who was so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. On our first night i became very unwell in the room and he immediately came to help my friend who was struggling to take care of me and was very upset. He made sure that i would be okay and gave my friend advice how to make sure i was okay through the night. George stayed helping us for a long time and i am very appreciative of this as without his help i do think i would have had to go to the hospital. I really hope George gets the recognition he deserves as he went above and beyond his job role and did everything he could to make sure i was okay for the rest of my holiday! We stayed on 1 night. The pool seemed clean. The room itself looked like it had just been renovated but the a/c was not replaced and made noise at night. No TV. Very basic. Would stay again but for a few days only.

Needs knocking down Expensive items stolen from our room Charge you for air con Management dont want to know and are of no help whartsoever Rooms awful look like there from the 30s Beds awful - be better of sleeping on the floor You will need physiotherapy when you get home your back will be that bad

WORST APARTMENT EVER!!! Avoid this place with everything you have! Filled with cockroaches no aircon staff extremely rude. My 4 month old got overheated and was poorly as we paid for air con and the unit did not work! Paid for 2 rooks and 5 of us had to stay in one room as it was filled with cockroaches windows don’t lock and staff walk into your room at any point rats in the mattress even when you’re sleeping! DID NOT FEEL SAFE HAVE WRITTEN A FORMAL COMPLAINT. THIS PLACE NEEDS CLOSING DOWN

Well what can I say to help any future guests that want to holiday at this Hotel....DON'T DO IT!!!!!! It is a dump. I have lived in Cyprus for 30 years and stayed at probably 100 or more hotels but this one comes out the worst ever. Got to our room at around 1.00am it was baking hot as expected looked around for the remote control to put on the AC and nothing found, my wife walked back to the reception to be told go back to your room and get make of the AC units in both rooms and we will give you remotes, she did this taking some 20/30 mins came back with the remotes neither of them worked, it is now 1.30am and it is very hot, not wanting to mess around anymore we decided to open all the windows and try to get some sleep, luckily there was a good breeze coming through the windows but was still very uncomfortable, looking at the condition of the external part of the AC (see photos) you will understand why the AC was not working. Overall the rooms were dated, old and uncomfortable. The worse nights sleep I've had since my Army days in the 60's hot and eaten by mosquitos. If reading this review you decide to stay here I look forward to reading you negative comment. Never ever again Windmills. Luckily it was for only one night god help you if you stay for a 7/10/14 night stay.

2 rooms (210 & 310) 3 adults 1 teenager; Rooms; very poor, in 210 the shower had a drip so much so the tap and bath had rusted and the shower head was unfit, we chose to all shower in 310 or the pool shower as these were slightly better. Fridge in both rooms poor and not suitable for storing food. Ants in both rooms but had to call out the janitor at 11pm 1 night as there had been a takeover! we know its budget but there's budget and unfit for human occupation. (Some) Cleaners were lazy, hit and miss if you got fresh towels, had to ask for toilet roll and for them to actually clean the room, didn't use any cleaning products, didn't always remove waste from outside the rooms/blocks so left overnight (queue Ants). Bed sheets had holes and seen better days. We know other rooms have been refurbished but these were dreadful. Bar - food was average, again hit and miss, drinks and service were consistently excellent, the team work extremely hard throughout the day. Some good entertainment throughout our stay, well worth a look. We didn't eat in the restaurant so no comment. Pool - lovely and clean, plenty of sunbeds, toilets & shower clean. Staff (except cleaners) all lovely and did what they could, cleaners need a kick up the backside - always on their phones and 'wondering' around appearing to not be doing very much. Location was perfect for us, we like the quieter side away from the strip which is still walking distance or on the bus route. Taxi from the strip 10E.
