Dorsett Wuhan

Was my second time to stay there, hotel is nice, location is great !! Rooms are OK if you select the larger rooms. Staff good, last trip a few weeks ago had an issue with the room, but staff moved us to a room facing outside so we had cooler room. All staff is great, but not much English speaking. That said, would for sure stay there again if I return to Wuhan. Location great, within several blocks are hundreds of shops and places to eat, is right on the walking street area. Breakfast buffet is OK, but if you stay for long time like I do, the buffet is pretty much the same every day. Of interest, as you walk left on the walking street, you can see many old buildings from before the communist takeover, many huge bank buildings from 85 to 105 years ago. Some are empty while others are now shops. From what I was able to read, before the communist takeover, was a big port city for that part of China where both British and French banks were located there in big buildings.

Overall pleasant stay. Poor English amongst the staff, even at the front desk/check-in. No drop off allowed at the doorstep unless you come in a coach! (Our hosts had trouble picking and dropping us off each time). Close to shopping street - literally just around the corner and metro station. Good price for an international hotel. Facilities worn but have to look hard to spot them. Large bathroom. Comfortable beds.

Location is always the key factor when it comes to my experience, however, this hotel has more than that, the spacious room made the stay experience even better. Although Its not a unclean room,you still can find moulds and hairs in the bathroom.

Conveniently located near metro Sunway and shopping area. Staff went several extra miles letting me check in early knowing I arrived early in the morning.

Would stay at Dorsett again if I would be Wuhan next trip.

Great location and close to the subway only 5 min walk, nice neat rooms and a good breakfast selection. Nearby to many excellent restaurants for famous hot pot and baby lobster. Staff very friendly and reasonable English. my trip was specific to study Mandarin so I want looking for shops but was pleasantly surprised.

Good hotel, close to shopping st, subway station, older parts of Wuhan, (communities). 10 mins walk from bus station. Plenty of eating establishments close, food st 10 mins walk, night market outside hotel .
