Hotel Varuna

Nice hotel in a safe and quiet area, 10 minutes by bus to downtown. Restaurants nearby. Very good service at reception. If you are foreigner and show your passport with entrance temple you do not have to pay taxes - you get discount. Big rooms with comfortable beds. Good sleep. No AC, could get cold at night but have good blankets. Ok wifi. Quite ordinary hotel but very good if you want hotel comfortability. Bathroom needs some renovation. Usual breakfast with fruits, fresh juices, good white cheese, eggs, some pasteles and bread.

Hotel has restaurants and shops in walking distant and is nice and clean. Staff does not speak any English at all (pretty much the same everywhere).

Very friendly and nice service. Big room with comfortable beds. Good wifi, flat tv. Nice breakfast with wide option of hot and cold dishes. It was a bit cold in the room. Shower in general ok but needs some renovation recarding facilities. Very safe and quiet area. It takes by bus 10 minutes to reach center.

The place is outdated. Beds are short, and I am not one to complain about these kinds of things! Very noisy and no ventilation or A/C what so ever! I feel that's the first time trip advisor misguided me!

Overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was kind of joke for the overpriced tag you pay for. There were meetings of one kind or another going on most of the time and they use the space in restaurant as well, had to wait for a seat for breakfast !! Reception staff and location is great !

I booked my room with Diego, the hotel manager. He, the front desk staff, and bellmen were great the entire time, helping us with all our needs! The room was spacious and clean, breakfast and the lobby were nice. BEST OF ALL is the location! walkable to all the pubs, nightlife, restaurants, mall, and Torre de Cable. Right in the middle of the city where you want to be.

Manizales is not an exciting city, the hotel is pretty important, and Varuna Hotel is a good cozy experience for a business, close to pubs, restaurants and malls. The service is kind, considerate and friendly. Just for a good rest after work. Bad point, not gym and spa.
