Hotel Varuna

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My room was nice with a comfortable king bed, a window that opened to a view of the city, and a great bathroom shower. The breakfast has good and they served a fabulous soup every day. The hotel location was within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

Stayed here for 1 night Can’t understand positiv rating Room 406 is really loud Windows don’t close properly Service is too much Guy carrying our bags didn’t want to leave until he demonstrated how the toilet works. By the way, toilets, water did not go away, and it was flushing over once. There were hair inside the bathroom Bed is short (I am 1.88m) Breakfast poor Empanadas really like a brick And, remember we are in the coffee area, no espresso, only Americano Ridiculous Max 2 out of 5, for this price (220mil pesos) A refund of at least 100 mil would be necessary.

tje hotel is locatedi the new part of the city med several restaurants nearby and young people in the area. The breAkfast was really nice with musli, youhurt, bread colombian dishes and alot of fresh fruit. Good wifi , spacious room with place for 4 persons. The only drawback is the limited english skills of the super friendly staff

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. Our room wasn’t ready when we tried to check in after 3:00; however, they were very accommodating and got us in another room within 10 minutes or so. Nice location as well with restaurants nearby.

Near a vibrant area of the city and not too far from the center of Manizales

Room size and location was great. Shower drain not working and smelly, street noise, no AC, hard mattress.

All of my wedding guests stayed at this hotel. The staff is extremely attentive, very helpful. All speak spanish, yes, however one does speak English, but they do their best to accommodate. Everything is modern. Lots of space in the rooms. Shower is great. Breakfast is very good. Location is really good. Price is right. Highly recommended if you are staying in Manizales.

The hotel is in a good location of the city. Nice large room but loud traffic noise from streets surrounding hotel. Needed maintanence person to explain how to operate unusual shower. There are 10 steps to enter hotel not an access ramp. Restaurant breakfast very normal and dinner I ordered a filet mignon steak that was prepared correctly but the mashed potatoes were cold. I told her about potatoes and received no salad but nothing happened. I also had to remind her that I had ordered a glass of wine.

I have traveled to Manizalez Colombia for business three times over the last 12 months and the first two I stayed at this hotel, which is located in what appears to be the “zona rosa” of this beautiful city. Every time I have brought my wife and in two visits a daughter or a relative. The rooms are large with wonderful outside light coming in through the windows- and so the rooms are not dark. The quality of the beds have been from ok to good - the breakfasts are ok. The staff is sensational - kind, prompt, efficient and always ready to assist you on anything you need including getting you a taxi or bringing your luggage to your room, offering you coffee or other drinks, getting you change for bills or handling your laundry. The cleaning staff does a very good job as well. I moved out of a paid m-by-my-sponsor more expensive hotel and spent the last night of my visit to Manizalez at Varuna because I wanted to be at a hotel where the staff was there to serve the guests willingly. José Antonio, for example, welcome me and arranged quickly for a nice room and the check out was excellent with the woman at the front desk the next day - August 5. Better to reserve on line ad it is about 20 percent Cheaper if one goes through online services. The cost is relatively low and to me the services worth the price. I want to be in a hotel where the staff is attentive to the needs of the guests and where their responses are timely and friendly - of course, I tipped them as I do appreciate their kindness and their efforts to make my family and I have a nice stay Nearby there are some excellent restaurants including some nice breakfast spots and many bars where my wife and I can go dancing in a nice environment with the wonderful locals
