Tropical Inn

We booked this particular hotel because it had a water slide. I called prior to arriving to ensure the pool was open and was advised it was . When we arrived, we discovered the water slide is only open during certain hours. And that it is dependant on staffing. This morning it was to be open at 9:00 am but I was advised at the front desk it wasn’t going to open. I explained we booked this hotel because of the water slide and the front desk clerk actually got someone to turn on water slide for us for 45 minutes, which I really appreciated I think I they need to be upfront on their website so people know what they are getting when they book.

The pool

This is an older hotel. The price was very reasonable. The room was clean. The water slides were fun, hot tub was down during our visit. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived during the smokey heat with a teenager in an air boot due to an ankle injury. Room was a very long walk from the entrance. The air was very muggy and warm and the air conditioner would not work. Front desk staff could not resolve the issue. Weekend maintenance also could not solve the issue. The two fans provided (one a desk top fan) did little to reslove the issue.

Had to ask twice to open up pool and hot tub was cold and had bugs, as well as slides were not clean

We enjoyed our stay here. We like the the balcony off the room. It was clean abd staff nice.

It was a nice stay

The hot tub jets didn’t work, the stairs going up to the waterslide were rough and narrow. The elevator was super small, the bathroom in the room was small and the a/c didn’t work. Staff not overly helpful or friendly. No one asked how our stay was which made us think no one really cared.

Old decor, tiny bathrooms that seem dirty, air conditioning didn’t work, found some bugs in the room because the window screen was broken. Wasn’t a very pleasant experience
