Old WesleyDale Heritage Accommodation

The property was a beautiful heritage cottage, but with modern creature comforts for an enjoyable stay. It is set on an acreage outside Mole Creek and was a great location for exploring the caves.

I would have liked to stay a little longer to enjoy the local area more. I did some local walks but there was still so much more to discover.

Location was perfect for enjoying all the area has to offer, but perfectly rural and totally peaceful. Although late Summer is a challenging time for a garden to look its best there was plenty to admire about this gorgeous heritage property.

The bed was a little firm for my achy limbs.

A privilege to stay in such a historic place with huge garden in a location that suited us. Deb was very helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast components provided were great - scrambled eggs for 2 mornings! The tip off about platypus in the little creek behind the local pub was a bonus as were our side trips to see Tassie devils and the nearby town of Sheffield with all its murals.

Hiccup with the fire alarm system - perhaps a 6 am awakening one morning wasn't that helpful.

The location was spectacular, with fantastic gardens and lots of space in the room with a full laundry available as well. Lovely fire and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the location. Hosts were very friendly.

It was out of town so we needed to drive there but given we had a car anyway, it was no extra burden.

We absolutely loved staying at Old Wesley Dale. Words cannot adequately describe the beauty and serenity of this place, just walking in the grounds was so peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation itself was outstanding, beautifully decorated and furnished in heritage style, and clean, and comfortable and with a slow-combustion wood fire and electric heater for cosy evenings. Deb was a great host who provided everything we needed for a perfect stay. We would love to return there one day.
