Lack of hot food for breakfast maybe

Staff were exceptional. Dined at the restaurant our meals were superb. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Would recommend highly.

Comfortable bed and beautiful sheets location was good.

Our room was described as superior. Furniture was shabby- an old sofa. Bath was damaged. Musty smell in bathroom. We were expecting to stay in the Manor House instead we were in the outhouses. I slipped getting into the bath and bruised my knee. Inspite of using non slip mat it didn’t fit the bottom of the bath.

Advance warning about nature of room. Footstep noise from room above made for difficulty in sleeping

Pretty area, bed comfortable

Very small room , tiered interior. Bathroom was new but shower didn’t work properly

We stayed one night Sat/Sun in the old building (Room 14) and paid £160 for double room on a room only basis. Bed was comfortable apart from the terrible pillows. Good parking and it was close to where we needed to be. The hotel was probably charming at one time, now the part we stayed in is just very shabby and not up to modern standards. Certainly overpriced for what was provided.

Pillows were awful. Furniture old and very shabby. Wardrobe was tiny and too narrow for coat hangers. TV screen started 50% fuzzy and then resolved itself after an hour or so. Tea and coffee tray not replenished before arrival. Only one sachet of milk. I was looking forward to a full English but no hot breakfast was available. It wasn't clear whether this was because it was a Sunday morning or if it was always the case. At £9.50/person, the continental breakfast was lacking in imagination and poor value for money. Very unlikely to stay here again.

Very nice looking Hotel which has been renovated very well

We had high expectation on the breakfast but it had a little variation. Only some toasts and no bread, no eggs or any sausages. Some fruit and yoghurt. Very disappointed.
