Oia Mare Villas

We stayed at Oia Mare Villas for three nights and it was overall an incredible stay. I recommend requesting for a porter to meet you at Oia Post office as it might be hard to find it though. Staff really took care of us and made sure we were comfortable. They assisted with restaurant bookings, and even had a porter help us with our bags up the flights of stairs at 5am! Buffet breakfast was lovely, hotel kindly prepared a small portion for us the night before as we had an early flight. There was a bit of a water shortage but I think it might have been an island wide issue. Thank you once again for a wonderful time - I’ll be thinking about this stay for a long time!

Overall this hotel is very beautiful, staff are friendly, breakfast is very good. Room is spacious, but the floor in the bathroom is very slippery, we both slipped multiple times. We don’t like the very old way to open and lock the door. It’s kinda inconvenient. Hotel’s lobby is located close to the bottom of the hotel, not easy to find it when first time visit. We used the shared airport shuttle hotel offered, we paid €55 for two people. Shuttle stopped at post office. A porter carried luggages to hotel for us. We followed him walking a long way to hotel. Hotel is built along the hill, the view is stunning; Good spot for sunset this season. There’s one thing I’m not happy with. I booked a sea view suite for three nights, but I got a partial sea view room as the first picture I uploaded shows. I asked to change rooms, the front desk told me he couldn’t change it for me. I needed to send a request to the reservation department myself. At check-in, I paid local tax with my credit card, they still required to write down all my credit card information on paper.

Kind and friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. They booked dinner reservations, helped with ATV rental and checked in often to make sure we were comfortable. We were able to communicate with them via WhatsApp for anything we needed while out during the day as well. Housekeeping was great also, room was left spotless each day with fresh towels. Highly recommend this hotel even for the price. We stayed in the suite with the outdoor hot tub included - very nice feature to have at night with some wine (we visited in low-mid season - middle of May). If it will be your first time in Oia, be prepared for the stairs - lots of cardio but totally worth it when you see the views of the sunset. Oia Mare Villas has a great private rooftop with a perfect sunset view, a little small but we enjoyed it up there with a few other couples. Amazing experience!

Oia Mares Villas is surrounded by beautiful breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. No matter where you will stay, you will have a great view. However I will say my first day, my room smelled of cat litter. Cats are everywhere in Oia and all the staff assured me they do not go inside, the smell was definitely of cats. They definitely need to do some updates too. Their restrooms. For such a beautiful surrounding the inside of the rooms definitely needs some renovations. However i will add that the service desk handled the issue very promptly and immediately went back to service my room and take the smell out. It was definitely a huge improvement when I went back in. I am also a gold member with expedia and shed have been presented with v.I p upgrades or services. Nothing was presented to me. We enjoyed our stay either way, because as I mentioned, the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. And the staff was also very pleasant. But given my first experience, i wouldn't rebook if I go back to Oia.

We booked the honeymoon suite (cave) with jacuzzi which was a fantastic room, excellent size in comparison to others at the property, however strangely did not have a sunset view or balcony in the sun. The staff at the property were extremely helpful and friendly, and it was exceptionally clean and well kept. Naturally, the location is very hilly with lots of Cobbold steps, but the property is located on the cliff and centrally to everything you would want to see in Oia. It I also as lovely views of the sea and its own balcony for guests for the fantastic sunset views. We found the food at the property was excellent quality, but very limited as it is only small. During our stay, the weather was fantastic and the hotel is a perfect place to relax around the pool as well as explore. The sun lounges are extremely comfortable and it certainly wasn’t busy during our day as most people go out exploring at different times of the day.

Amazing staff, very polite and friendly! Highly recommend using transit service, especially if u have luggage or else u will be hiking and carrying ur luggage up and down the stairs. Room was clean and modern. But the view was everything! No need to be with the crowds to watch sunset, you can do it at the comfort of the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine!

The location in Oia is amazing. The hotel views of the sunset were great and the location was convenient to all the shopping. The hotel staff were kind and helpful throughout. Having a porter to carry luggage was a great perk of staying at this hotel. There are a lot of steps to get to and from the hotel. Be prepared for the steps if choosing this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at the Volcano View Villa & had a fantastic time. The villa is very spacious with two floors, nicely decorated, and offer a gorgeous view of the caldera. Convenient location to dining, shopping and transportation. The hotel staff is tremendously welcoming & make us feel at home. Overall a five-star experience. Will recommed to friends.
