We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights as a getaway. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and modern too. The service was excellent and Ian really cared about his guests stay. He was very welcoming and went out of his way to make our stay was the best it could be. The breakfasts were great as you could pick and choose from the options. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. I can’t wait to stay there again but for longer next time.

A fantastic stay at Glencree Guesthouse. Ian was a great host and catered to our needs. A very clean and tidy room with a brilliant balcony. Breakfast was lovely also.

Very modern and stylish hotel. We stayed in romantic double room with balcony. It was lovely although the room is quite small. Travel size fridge available in room. Bathroom really nice and clean. Very good shower. Host Ian is very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was delicious and Ian cooks it according to your requests. Excellent location between Windemere and Bowness.

Very tastefully furnished guest house with internet enabled TV, fridge, coffee pod machine, incredibly comfortable bed and fantastic bathroom. Breakfast was very nice. Spotless throughout and Ian was very friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic 2 nights in Windermere, made all the better by our lovely room, host, and four-in-a-bed-worthy breakfast. We have arrived back home genuinely refreshed and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Ian, from Tom & Sarah.

One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Great accommodation and excellent service. It is also in a great location.

Best guest house in Windermere ! everything is spot on, cant fault the place at all. Luxury bed linen, towels, toiletries , well furnished, very nicely decorated guest house, easy 5 min walk to Bowness or Windermere village. Breakfast very good, great service.

Very friendly and helpful. Lovely room but not suitable for anyone who can’t manage a narrow spiral staircase. Owner offered to take bags up for us. We knew about the staircase when we booked. Near to Bowness-on-Windermere and lake. Great breakfast.

Close to the action, everything is within a 10 -15 minute walk. Owners were very friendly and even accommodated my no dairy, no gluten daughters requests. All the rooms were very well appointed with furnishings. Breakfast was very good. Only bad thing to say was parking was tight and had to backup into a busy street.
