Phka Villa Hotel Battambang

Very nice atmosphere, beautiful place, pleasant stuff, fantastic breakfast! Hope to come again....

The genuine friendliness of the staff made our stay here a highlight of our time in Cambodia. It turned out to be the hotel by which we judged all other subsequent hotels.

Nicely laid out with bungalows around a pool and restaurant terrace in the evenings. Located outside of town but free tuk-tuk laid on. Staff really friendly and helpful and sent me off with a free lunch box. Good sized rooms but like previous reviewer had some hot water issues - yes it does come on if you leave the tap running for 5 minutes but this shouldn't be the case. Overall this was a minor issue and I had a good stay.

Great hotel, lovely setting, and very pleasant and accommodating staff with good English.

My impression of the hotel is probably coloured by my impression of Battambang. It's not an easy town to like. There's nothing actually wrong with the hotel but it doesn;t seem to be working properly. Staff were very firendlly and eager to help but they seemed to lack a level of ability that's difficult to define. For the price I would expect a higher standard (which I've received in other towns in Cambodia). Having said that, if all you want is a one night stopover (and that's all I'd suggest for Battambang) the Phka Vill is okay.

A small hotel where you are made to feel at home. The restaurant was great too. The gardens around the pool are gorgeous. The staff was especially friendly and helpful.

Very nice little boutique hotel. Especially like the cabana setup with rooms centered around the pool. Food better than average for a small hotel/kitchen. There is a safe in the room for valuables, but the security of the sliding door was questionable. Very attentive staff with better than average English skills.

A superb family run hotel with eleven independent bungalows grouped round a large pool. The staff one of whom is very special were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble and the hotel even provided a New Years Eve party complete with good food and wine. The room was very clean and in a quiet location about 15 minutes walk from town or a 5 minute Tuk Tuk ride.

My husband and I stayed at hotel for two nights in December. The hotel is lovely and located in a quiet area of the town. Each guest is provided with a tuk tuk and driver that will take you into town on a complimentary basis. If you would like to see some of the interesting sites in the area you can hire the same driver - it is a wonderful service. The staff at the Phka Villa are extremely pleasant and will accommodate any needs that you may have. The breakfast is very nice with a choice of all regular breakfast items. The hotel is small and intimate with individual rooms that all look out onto the pool. I would highly recommend this hotel.
