Phka Villa Hotel Battambang

They even provided us with packed lunch for our boat journey to Siem reap!

Wonderful service provided by a delightful family run group. Hotel slightly out of main part of Battambang but a courtesy tuk-tuk overcame this potential problem. The swimming pool was a great way of cooling down after hectic days of tourism! Many thanks for the great hospitality, tour of the town and the surprise farewell lunch.

The perfect place for a stop in Battambang. Nice area, quite. The service is really one of the best I had in my trip in Asia and their restaurant is a good option too (Amok was a nice experience).

Wonderful hotel, staff were very welcoming and helpful if we had any questions. Great service providing a driver for us (Sarath - he was superb), organising a cooking class for us at Smokin' Pot, the circus and just the small things they did when we had questions.

The service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to help us on several occasions. Cute rooms, nice relaxing pool. Lots of charecter. A real oasis.

Really lovely place, room was lovely when we arrived. Slightly out of the centre but had a free Tuk-tuk for the duration which was brilliant. Couldn't feel more welcome. Only problem was restaurant service was very slow, but the food was amazing.

I stayed at the Pkha Villa for two weeks so feel qualified to comment. It is a lovely little hotel with 10 smallish charming bungalows set in gardens around a pool. The ambience is great, Cambodian without being too 'theme park'. The staff are lovely and so helpful, every little thing is sorted out for you. The hotel has a great chef, I ate all the Cambodian offerings and found them all to be good. The dinner time waiter is also very professional and attentive. The hotel is close to the centre of Battambang but just far enough away to feel restful and secluded. I would definitely stay there again.

We really liked this hotel. The location isn't ideal (down the end of a long road away from the centre of town) but everything else was really good. The staff were all great; they helped me when I needed to see a doctor in town, and their resident tuk tuk driver was excellent. Do use him (if it's the same bloke) for your day trip around the area. He speaks good English and explains everything you see to you. The rooms are a little bit 'rustic', but that just means they have character (but no wardrobe). The hotel food isn't the best in town, but perfectly acceptable if you've had a long day and don't want to go into Battambang town - which isn't really worth heading out to anyway. Overall, a great experience, and the pool is a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent; have the smoothie,

We originally planned for three nights but stayed another as we really liked it in Battambang and at Phka Villa. There were some small issues with our toilet when we got there but they were taken care of immediately. All the staff is very friendly and helpful As the hotel is a little bit off the beaten track you get a shuttle service to town and back, just call the driver or agree on a pick-up time when he drops you off. We were always driven around by Sarat and also did two day-tours with him, really liked it. Breakfast is selected in the morning from a menue (no prices, included in the room) without limitations on the number of items. Overall a very nice stay, would come back here.
