Widemouth Manor Hotel

Very good value for money and good food in the restaurant. Most importantly Jessie was fantastic, absolute superstar, could not have been more helpful with taxi info and even made me a jam sandwich since I was leaving before breakfast.

Oddly there was a bath towel missing initially (only a hand towel was present) and there was shampoo but not shower gel. Also the bin still had waste in it from the previous occupant.

The hotel's location is absolutely amazing, it has great views of the beach and the sea. It was easy to find, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it's close to the beach.

Although clean and tidy, the room was on the smaller side and the bathroom was a tiny bit dated. Sound isolation was also somewhat lacking, and we had loud neighbours.

Good location

Bedroom needs a refresh; v small and claustrophobic. Food wasn’t great either. The specials skate wing smelt off but I only noticed after eating a few mouthfuls. Left it so ended up buying a bag of crisps as was so hungry. Breakfast looked and tasted like it had been cooked the day before. Room overlooked front garden seating for bar so noisy at night and was next to the stairwell and fire door.

Arrived mid afternoon to find the place was locked and was told that it does not open until 3:30pm My single room was extremely small and hardly big enough to accommodate a bed There was no fresh fruit or continental breakfast options

Great in-house management and staff there well run and loved the rain and to see the sea was amzing . Food is amazing and quick to come out and hot . Deof stay again. So all in all 10-10.

Room was smelly Bathroom window didn't shut. Curtains were mouldy. Towels smelly. Service was poor. Milk jug at breakfast had dirty ring round the inside. I felt very unwelcome as a solo traveller. Hotel promised they would refund due to the fact that the room wasn't up to standard and I am still waiting despite discussing with Booking.com and the hotel promising.
