Villa degli Ulivi

Location! Location! Location! We loved this charming apartment within this wonderful historic family estate. It is not in the historic center of town but rather near the sea, train station and beach area. It is a steep climb to get to the town but we opted to get a taxi at the train station down the road a bit. The bus is also an option not too far away. The grounds were beautiful, the view-amazing and we loved the patio area. The receptionist stayed late to welcome us (due to our late train arrival) and was helpful during our stay.

Nothing! Would highly recommend and would love to stay there again should we be in the area!!

My shower shared a glass block wall with one of the neighbouring units. I could see them - I’m sure they saw us . When their bathroom light was on it lit up the bathroom and hallway in our unit . Dont stay without bringing some groceries on arrival . There is nothing close by. Nice facility but lacking in convenience. Parking is dangerous right out front on road . Good luck on getting a cab any where ( very expensive) but bus was ok if you have loads of time .

Swimming pool and beautiful garden with good view

Located on busy street which was noise. Dangerous to walk in evening times and lack of car park, only if space available on the main busy street

We spent five nights here and loved it. A wonderful place to stay, very close to Taormina but also close enough to the beach to feel that you are experiencing a typical Mediterranean vacation. Beautiful views, spacious and classically decorated rooms, and a quiet and clean pool. Easy access to bus stops and to the train station. Friendly and helpful hosts. I proposed to my fiancée on the balcony here so it will always have a special place in our hearts!

We have no complaints about our stay, but for the sake of transparency: As most reviews mention, the main road is very loud, although the rooms are relatively soundproof. You should be prepared to take the bus (5 minute walk to stop) if you want to visit Taormina without a car as the 40 minute hike up the cliff is very enjoyable but not suitable for after dark. Finally, while the listing is clear that there currently are no breakfast options, we certainly think it would be a good idea for the hosts to offer breakfast, as there are no other options within easy walking distance, and the complex definitely has the facilities to do so (kitchen, communal seating area etc).

Loved the service and the property was absolutely beautiful

The apartment was spacious with two bathrooms. The view of the sea from the small pool was lovely. The location is pretty good for visiting the area but would recommend having a car.

There wasn't really any parking unless you could find a very tight spot on the road, most of the time we managed to. As others have said, the place is on a very busy road and it can be pretty noisy so be aware of this. These are more like self catered apartments so when you are there, there are no staff - if you need anything. We were only left 1 coffee pod each for the entire stay and they were never replenished. Very basic equipment in kitchen (not even any wine glasses).

Lovely property in a great location of Taormina. Good access to beaches along the coast, bus and train station, and walking track up to the village. Very clean apartment with responsive hosts and the pool is a nice additional touch ! Parking spots can be found on the street.
