The Mitre, Hampton Court

The Mitre is a historic hotel situated opposite Hampton Court Palace. It has been renovated sympathetically with loads of original and interesting features. There are lovely views of the river from both the restaurant and breakfast room through a huge semi circular window. Room really large with a bath as well as a shower. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast included was very nice too. The staff there were really friendly and helpful, both at reception and the dining areas.

Everything was perfect. The floors were very creaky but that all added to the charm.

Dinner could have been better, good menu but food was average

This hotel is quaint, historic and very comfortable. The staff is superb. We had dinner there and the food and service were superb. Literally walk across the street to Hampton Court Palace and overlooking the Thames.

Beautful historical building, nicely furnished rooms named after famous persons from English history and culture, great restaurant with delicious breakfast that was included in our room rate. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk and in the restaurant, great location across the street from Hampton Court Palace. We got complimentary cream tea!

There was no air conditioner, just a fan in the room, so we had to leave the windows open, and traffic on the adjacent major road was rather loud.

Warm welcome and nice sleeping

Beautiful hotel opposite Hampton Court Palace along side the Thames. Lovely Thames terrace bar and restaurant. We had the most amazing luxurious room.

Nothing, all staff were exceptional and so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable and perfect.

Great location

The staff on check in were very disappointing. Later in the day when we returned the other lady was much better but the first member of staff was very unhelpful and quite rude
