Having lived in Guernsey for 3 years, and now a frequent visitor, I know its hotels are not generally up to standards expected in the UK and mainland europe - so don't expect it. With few exceptions, Guernsey hotels tend to be relatively expensive and outdated. Few are purpose built and most amateurish conversions of large houses with constant building going on. Unless you are prepared to pay the high prices of the top handful of hotels, the best you can expect is what this hotel has to offer: a clean room, reasonably helpful and friendly staff (none of whom are locals) and a menu from the 1960s. Despite being a "local", I cannot recommend Guernsey as a holiday destination. Its coastline is "world-class" but thats all it has to offer. Prices tend to be higher than the UK despite not VAT. They haven't grasped the concept of "customer service" and are go about the tourism industry as they do all others - very ameteurishly and way below standards expected by customers from the UK and europe.

We really enjoyed our stay but had slight problems with the electrics, using the bedside light caused a power cut on the whole floor which was rectified and the lights replaced the next day. The staff couldn't have been friendlier.My only criticisim was that we didn't have a bath.

We spent four nights on a Bed & Breakfast tarrif.Staff very welcoming on arrival. Meals were excellent and service good. Gardens etc very pleasant with large conservatory looking out on them.

An excellent place to stay in Guernsey with very helpful staff. Will be back next year with a larger group..

Great service. Very helpful. Would recommend to visitors on a budget.
