Cedar House B&B

A midweek break with my boyfriend, staying in beautiful, quiet and cosy BnB, owned and run by a hard-working and wise couple. The 'lady of the house' who welcomed us and was the main host, was truly wonderful, lovely and humble. And she loves to feed you! Only one small issue that hopefully will have been fixed by now. Eagerly awaiting and very much looking forward to our next visit! ;)

Lovely set up and amazing service. Felt very well cared for with lovely balcony and views of the river. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Quite clean and warm house. Close to town center, bus, railway, and restaurant. I never heard any noise at midnight. Breakfast is excellent!

The only downside was the bar on the main road was really noisy until 4am

Our stay was amazing from start to finish amazing hospitality from our lovely landlady food amazing and room superb so clean could not fault cedar house in any way at all

Just perfect! Friendly & couldn’t do enough for us. Spotlessly clean throughout & excellent breakfast.

Arrived after a difficult journey to a very warm welcome. Room was fine with lots of tea coffee and biscuits which made us feel good. Easy access to bars and restaurants and easy convenient parking. Breakfast was excellent and nothing too much trouble.

Good position to walk into Matlock and a lovely choice of breakfast.

A lovely, quiet location, just a short walk through a lovely park into the town. An excellent choice for breakfast, well cooked and well presented. An idea location for the wide variety of places to visit in the area, Chatsworth (15 minutes) & Kedleston Hall (35 minutes) to name just two.

On the edge of the park. Presentation of the food and choice was out standing. Variety of fruit in the fruit salad all freshly chopped.
