Blue Waters Lodge

We regularly travel to Devon to visit family and have stayed in many hotels and guest houses over the years — but Blue Waters Lodge has truly been the best experience we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome. The hospitality here is second to none — nothing was too much trouble, and the hosts made us feel completely at home. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests. The room was immaculate and beautifully presented, with thoughtful little touches that made such a difference — from the cozy decor to the attention to detail that you just don’t find everywhere. Everything felt calm, comfortable, and just right. Breakfast was a real highlight — freshly cooked, delicious, and served with a smile. It set us up perfectly each day. If you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to stay in Devon, I honestly couldn’t recommend Blue Waters Lodge more highly. We’ll definitely be back for our next visit — it’s now our go-to place when staying in the area.

Very welcoming, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Room very comfortable with lots of lovely little extras. Nothing was too much trouble, Julia and Iain couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was well cooked, well presented and good locally sourced ingredients. The warmth and friendliness was lovely and even extended to the dog. Will definitely be going back.

Nothing

Everything is kept immaculate. Julia & Iain do everything possible to ensure customers are made comfortable and leave fully satisfied, and supply not only the best of everything. With extras that one would expect from a 5 star hotel, e.g. white Bath robes, face clothes, in shower soap & shampoo dispensers, facial wipes, cotton buds, tissues, fresh milk & water in a mini fridge with a kettle and choice of teas & coffee & biscuits. In room modern technical IT facilities, Alexa, TV & touch control bedside lamps, & clock with USB charging points. The breakfast is multiple choice and freshly cooked to order using only the best ingredients. This establishment is a real gem, made special by the hosts Julia & Iain and their attention to detail. On departure we were given a small beautifully wrapped surprise gift. There is a small front garden with table and seating, But just be aware, no on site parking, which means you may have to park on the road, which might not be outside the property, and could be an issue if your not prepared or if its extremely busy.

Exceptional! Couldn't have wished for a better stay, we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was a problem. Felt like home from home. Julia and Iain were phenomenal couldn't of wished for better hosts. We will always book here from now on when we go to Paignton without a doubt. What a fantastic weekend.
