Coral Maya Stay Suites

All the people we met were friendly and helpful. Good experiences with dinning out. Visited many Mayan ruins, towns and beaches. Riding buses and taxis, so easy and fun. Transportation from and to airport was reliable and safe.

I didn't want an all inclusive resort because I knew I would be out and about doing excursion and this hotel fit the bill. really clean and updated and most importantly the A/C worked perfectly! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, plus it's in an extreme safe and gated city, Puerto Adventuras. Added bonus, there is always a security guard walking around.

The hotel is located in a large planned community with hotels, residences, shopping, restaurant, and water activities. Very convenient to get everything, but it is better to have a car as the community is big.

Small beach access with wonderful protected swimming area just a 1/2 block away. Amenities close. Recommend transportation of some variety (bike, golf cart, car). We rented a car and were able to go to many of the local attractions (Tulum, Chitchen-Itza, Akumal Beach (turtles), and the other surrounding areas.

First, the good - the condo was good-sized, very clean, with marble floors and countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. There was a private patio with a good-sized table and two chairs that bordered on a beautiful and well-maintained private pool. The kitchen was well-stocked with decent appliances, dishes, utensils, etc. A tank of water was also provided. The biggest bummer - no hot water, ever. There never seemed to be anyone in the main "office" to contact, so I left a note for the cleaning crew the first day. The note was taken, but the water situation did not improve. I had to heat water on the stove every day to bathe and wash my hair. Not good. Additionally, while there was a new flat screen TV provided I basically couldn't get anything to come in on it. The only input source that appeared functional was internet TV, but there was very little content actually available. Probably shouldn't need to watch much TV when vacationing in the Riviera Maya, but it was college bowl season and I had to spend an evening in a sports bar to watch my team in their game. I booked late and wanted to stay on the inexpensive side so I wasn't expecting much in the way of amenities, but no hot water and a non-functional TV???

Safe location, pool area was small although the pool itself is nice, just cold. Beaches are nearby, but this condo is not beachfront. We were there just to relax, although there are plenty of activities in the area for those looking for adventure. The one-bedroom condo itself is nothing special, but it's roomy and clean.

We arrived late to Puerto Aventura at the Coral Maya. We really couldn't appreciate the all around beauty until we opened the door to our condo. Wow! It was beautiful! The owners Genaro and his wife Laura were so welcoming and helpful. Laura drove us to a nearby marina that has several restaurants circling it. What a nice surprise. The Coral Maya is in a gated community so we felt very safe and walked back to our condo refreshed and happy.The Coral Maya was not only beautiful but clean and very, very comfortable. It was well furnished, and even had a patio set which faced the pool. There were kayaks for our use and a recreation room. We would most definitely recommend the Coral Maya to our friends and would love to return.

The condo was nicely appointed, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, however, the Puerto Aventuras resort is built around a dolphin zoo in which the animals are kept in small tanks so that tourists can dive with them. If this bothers you, you should not stay at any hotel in this development.

Staying here was a very bad decision. The price was sky high and so perhaps were our expectations as a result. That said there was no excuse for the unclean state of the condo when we arrived nor the strong damp smell that persisted for the duration of our stay. Pools of water that occasionally and inexplicably appeared on the floors were presumably linked to the damp smell. We would have been lost without a car as the location is a good walk from any of the restaurants and other amenities and frankly we were grateful to be able to escape every day. If you had paid considerably less than we did maybe it would acceptable but no more than that. Overall, terribly disappointing.
