"Nice little pub B&B "

6.0

Lovely little pub b&b but let down as I didnt realise it was shared toilet and shower room! Small bedroom to have an extra bed for our son in it too, so was very cramped.

"Good"

4.0

Despite the Inn claiming that all 7 bedrooms had recently been refurbished our room was in very poor condition, with flaking paint on the skirting boards, windows and walls. The sash window did not operate properly. The shower room was modern but had signs of wear and tear (chain on plug had come off and the ceramic shower control broken) no shampoo or shower cap provided, or toilet roll holder. No wardrobe just a rail on the back of the door. Very disappointed and mislead by description on advert.

"Fabulous location, hotel not that great"

4.0

We paid just under £200 for 2 nights in an en-suit double room, including breakfast. The room was very small and seemed more like youth hostel décor than a hotel. It lacked character of any kind and the bed was very uncomfortable. It was meant to be king size but we were sure it was only standard size. Or perhaps it was just in need of replacement. There was a bizarre hanger rack on the back of the door to use as a wardrobe. But we kept banging our heads on it and was totally impractical for hanging clothes. The bathroom was nice and clean, the location was gorgeous and the staff were very friendly. We just found the room very disappointing for the price. Plus it was very noisy on the Friday night when loud drumming from the pub below could be heard until midnight. This hotel is really just a pub with rooms. Breakfast was OK. Nice full English and very friendly waitress but the orange juice was horrible and selection of other items to eat limited. Next time I think we'll stay in a B&B in the village which would be cheaper and less noisy.

"Going back in time"

8.0

Cadgwith is exactly the same as when first visited 60 years ago. The pub is very traditional with a lovely atmosphere. Many walkers & dogs there.

"Just right for a couple of days away"

10.0

Really friendly and accommodating, we were delayed a day due to the snow but were able to move our reservation dates. Good pub grub and fine local ales. One minute walk from the harbour and coastal path ideal for walking.

"Very close to the sea"

6.0

A very old building just across the road from the sea in a tiny cove. The room was very small with a standard double bed. Shared bathroom. An excellent cooked breakfast. Would have loved homemade jam and more interesting cereals.

"Atmosphere fantastic position good "

4.0

Atmosphere fantastic, position good but the Inn is trading on that. Rooms very very basic and not worth the money. Food moderate and service similar . Breakfast very very rushed and ungraciously served. Singing on a Friday night lovely but the Inn is making the most of the fact that you have to stay there. In any other place this Inn would just be a B and B with moderate food but the charges do not reflect that. But it is so busy they really don’t have to worry. Helen the landlady and her husband are working under pressure the whole time and missing out on the finer points- but then again do they need to. Cadgwith is a special place with great people but felt the charges were high. Access very difficult and parking limited
