Batam View Beach Resort

Great resort for relaxing in a calm enviroment. The pool was really nice and it's great to have a private beach. The room had a good size and it was clean. Everyday there was some show close to the bar for enjoy the night with some drinks.

The breakfast didn't have a lot of options. The beach was dirty and full of trash, so it wasn't possible to have a bath in the sea. The location is nice for being away from the hassle of the city, but it isn't convenient to visit places arround.

Staff was unfriendly at check in. There were rooms available but they were unwilling to let us check in early. We got to the hotel at 1230pm but told us check in was at 3pm. Check in time on expedia clearly stated as 2pm. We booked 7 rooms for 7 individuals but they wanted to give us 7 rooms with 2 twin beds. Only after we agreed to pay extra money for an upgrade then we were given 7 rooms with King beds. At dinner time we asked the staff to help call a restauant we wanted to go to in another resort. Staff was again unwilling to help. Told me they couldnt help to call. Said they didnt have the number, even when I gave them the number from google they were still very unwilling to help us make an enquiry. Overall horrible hotel and I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Quietness. Further out from Batam Center so it is very quiet.

Staff. Responisbility of hotel was dismal. Booked a room with sea view but was given a room with pool view. Feedbacked to the staff. They told me that I could change room on the day of arrival but can only do so the following day. Staff told me there was a big group of people coming in and needed to check availability the next day. We had planned full day activities the next day so was unable to get our room changed. At check out, inform the staff that we booked a room with sea view but was given a pool view. Was told that the room had a pool and SLIGHT sea view. Pool view was 80%. Sea view was only 20%. Very disappointing that the staff tried to gaslight us on this. Not enough staff at the fresh cooking stations for breakfast. Breakfast will take 1 hour to 1.5 hours if you order from the fresh cooking stations especially the more populat station.

- Room was just as described – very nice and comfortable. The villa was located right by the ocean, which was amazing. - Hotel staff were always super friendly and welcoming. - Fun entertainment available at the hotel bar, like pool and table football.

- Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the food at the hotel at all. - While breakfast is included in the price, be aware that cappuccinos or café lattes come at an extra charge. - The owner keeps several cats in cages near the pool, which was quite sad to see. - The hotel is quite remote with no shops or bars nearby – something to keep in mind when planning. - The gym is very small, so not ideal if you’re looking for a proper workout space.

Room was really comfortable. Liked the lighting, and pillows were comfy. Staff go out of the way to help you. The live band is great too! Drinks were inexpensive.

The hotel keeps rooster which were crowing from 4am! It was bad for my sleep. Good thing i had ear plugs with me.

Breakfast fair, room need maintenance.
