Shore View Hotel

Excellent staff, clean, perfect location

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The sea view was lovely too. We liked that we needed a room key to access the lift (though the stairs didn't have the same security). Breakfast was nice and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a very good position for the beach, the pier and the town centre.

Being very picky, at breakfast, the fried eggs were always hard and looked (and tasted) as though they had been sitting for hours. Parts of the hotel needed a bit of TLC or a lick of paint. Especially the outside of the hotel. But everywhere was very clean. Having a sea view, it would have been nice to open the doors and go on the balcony. But we guessed that with the scaffolding up, it may not have been safe.

It was clean and well situated

Lack of comfort in the room and the sea view room was affected by scaffolding blocking the entire view - this should have been mentioned before . Breakfast was just ok.

I have been coming back to this hotel for 12 years now. The staff are always wonderful, the breakfast is ok, and the location is perfect and central. While it could certainly use some updating, the price reflects that perfectly. I highly recommend it!

The male staff was a charming Mauritian guy very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff was very friendly the lady was so good and always smiling. She even asked me to have a sit she will bring my toast to my table. Very nice gesture of her

The girl who was doing the Sunday shift I saw she was a bit chosy on who she wants to greet and be friendly.

Close to the beach

Only 1 pillow each but I’m sure if we’d asked reception would have given us more

On the sea front

Street noise loud, pub party opposite, single glazed window. Footsteps & voices from room upstairs

Great location good size sea view room good cooked breakfast. Great value for our stay

rooms are a little tiered but clean shower cubicle is a little tight a small single but our friend had a shower over bath
