The Mere Golf Resort & Spa

A lovely venue and very easy to get to from the M6. No complaints at all!

Staff were very professional, courteous and helpful. Room and clean and bed very comfortable. Food was fine. For breakfast a full cooked was included but a little disappointing that eggs benedict/royale would have been additional if we had chosen to order that.

The hotel has the potential to be a very nice hotel but seems to be cutting some corners. The breakfast is awful. Both days were the same......bacon was like cardboard, obviously pre cooked then heated up when we arrived. sausage tasted like how i would imagine fairy liquid would taste like, the black pudding was inedible, again i would imagine it was pre-cooked then heated up. the only freshly cooked part of the breakfast was the poached eggs!!! terrible really for a hotel of this calibre. very disappointing. the spa jacuzzi was out of action with brown water floating very close to the main pool. A couple of the sauna rooms wasn't working either. the massage was average at best, just someone rubbing oil into your skin, not a massage! would i stay again? i don't think so.

Stay was juce. Room ok, not syre is worth 200 per night, especially given the fact the spa facilities are not in use. Some areas of hotel are quite dates. Grounds are beautiful and very well kept.

Great hotel, unfortunately spa/gym closed. Lively golf course. Comfy rooms walls a little thin for noise, food service was slow and staff not attentive despite it being fairly quiet. Covid and safety aspects adhered to and felt very safe. Overall great trip and enjoyed our stay

Covid 19 spoiled are stay

Safest hotel I have stayed in during this continued pandemic and felt very well looked after. Lots in places in England would do very well to follow suit.
